I'm definitely hoping for the survival for both Tatsumi and Mine, no matter how low that percentage is...
I'm interested in what kind of plan Mine thought of for the rescue mission...I'm expecting something awesome.

I doubt Esdese would use Mahapadma anytime soon...if she feels like killing Mine quickly....sure, she can do it, but if Najenda, Akame, and Leone all comes out once after that, there's probably a high chance for Tatsumi to escape (though Tatsumi would only be thinking of killing Esdese if Mine does die..)
So it'd be interesting to see when Esdese would decide to use her trump card...

And the revolutionaries are finally moving! I completely forgot about its existence after reading past the death of Lubbock...
All I'm going to say is, Night Raids, please don't die.

Also, I once again has been taught that Pumpkin is pretty OP weapon high risk, high return. As long as it doesn't overheat...

I was half expecting a more tactical approach, at least from Mine's position, but she just went in by herself. I'm assuming as a distraction. Still though, she's facing arguably two of the strongest characters in the series so far, and she's holding them off? Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about that, with all things considered. Well, if she manages to survive any longer without help next chapter... I'll call nonsense.

 

It is pretty interesting to see the rolls reversed this time around though, with Mine saving Tatsumi. Especially since the shoe was on the other foot many chapters ago. Back when Tatsumi was still relevant. Anyway, what's it called again? The "Distressed Dude" trope? It's not something you see too often. lol

I don't think Mine is a distraction.  I think Leona, Akame, and Najenda are holding off reinforcements to give Mine time to free Tatsumi and Incursio.  From that position, the trio could move in to assist once they've contained the battlefield, or be in a better position to escape should things go worse than planned.

 

By not showing up immediately, neither Budo nor Esdeath can call in their full reinforcements as there is still the theoretical threat to the Emperor (or PM, respectively).  It also enhances Pumpkin's power allowing for a better initial attack before the weapon overheats, which actually gives Mine an even better chance to succeed (because that's how stupidly named laser guns work, apparently).

 

I'm also very curious when Esdeath might elect to use her Trump Card, and how she'll use it.  I suspect she wouldn't go for it unless Tatsumi is on the verge of escape, or as an emergency measure to avoid a death-blow (which is unlikely to be needed, in part because Mine isn't aiming to kill Esdeath as much as she is to free Tatsumi).

The Chapter  54 is out, sincerely, I think that mine or leone are going to die/be captured and used by the prime minister (if not Esdeath), and that budo is going to hell........ Also I think that maybe tatsumi will lose himself nd become a monster without conscience that kills everything.........I even think that its possible that he kills one of his comrades in that mode because they tried to stop him

So Mine is still around, but she's retired from the battle. She's effectively comatose and possibly even paralyzed, and Pumpkin is broken. But Tatsumi is slowly fusing with Incursio... And Esdese has yet another trump card that we haven't seen yet.

No, I don't want anyone to be brought back in any way. That would completely throw off their entire purpose for dying and make this manga known for shitting on the rules it set for itself in the second chapter. 

I don't really hate anyone in this manga. Except for the obvious scumbags, I really like how they're written in. Esdese reminds me of Ashnard from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, and I absolutely adored his character as well. A battle-crazed maniac who believed that the strong deserve to survive and the weak will simply be used or devoured by the strong. He's a lot more insane than Esdese, though. There's a reason he was known as the "Mad King."

Nevertheless, I honestly don't want her to die. I don't believe in her being "turned good," but I do believe in her being completely defeated and left powerless, but escaping.

And it has to be at the hands of Tatsumi. This chapter basically proved that Tatsumi is now the strongest member in Night Raid.
