totally agree, music is even more of an universal language than math... obviously, it's easier to comprehend with your heart than your head... imo...

well, I know progressive rock is just not to everyone's taste, especially these long "concept albums"... yet, I'll share a secret - the more one listens to DT's music, the better it gets... there's always something new to find in it - emotions, ideas, pure instrumental and vocal mastery...

so, here's today's surprise as promised... just to give some info in advance on the music and the performers from below:

this is a women's folk choir, widely known as the Mystery of Bulgarian Voices (they were even awarded a Grammy in 1990)...
our traditional folk music is interesting with its "asymmetrical" rhythm, i.e. musical time is not split in even beats, but in longer and shorter (haha, I think Snazzy can further elaborate on this one:)...
apart from the asymmetrical rhythm, women's choirs in Bulgarian music are unique with their polyphony...
so, this is a traditional folk song, performed with an original beauty... enjoy

P.S. the sad thing is that the most popular music nowadays in BG is pop-folk, aka chalga, which is an absolute rubbish - the way I see it, it's not music but rather "porn performers attempting at singing"... f*ck 'em...
