I watched the first two episodes a few weeks ago and it looks awesome! =] Of course, a lot of the appeal of the first series is gone now that the scale of the plot isn't as intense so I'm not expecting too much but I trust the producers and the director to make a very good show.
I want to see Korra in the Avatar state.....

third episode was amazing, really sets the tone. This time there's less worldbuilding and training arcs so we're jumping right into the action. Korra seems like she learns through doing, and her teachers are willing to let her have more freedom if it brings results. Amon is scary, threatening, and mysterious, Korra's new friends are competent and tough, plus Korra herself has no reservations about hitting on mako. overall distinctly more mature than the first season of last airbender, and for good reason
anyone else notice korra is like the exact opposite of aang so far?
prepubescent boy : adolescent girl
master 1 element : mastered 3 elements
tough to find teachers : an entire organization providing as much support as possible
last one of his kind : her bending is common
world hates him thinks he's dead : "oh hey its the avatar how're you doing"
likes a waterbender : likes a firebender
they have similarities too, but there are just so many opposing qualities

I think the main difference (plot-wise) from TLA is the overall end plot point. It was established pretty quickly that the Fire Nation was evil, and that to bring balance back to the world, Aang had to master the elements and defeat Ozai. In Korra so far, all that's been said is that she needs to finish her Airbending training, and then restore balance to the world (more like in Republic City only >.>). Yes, there's Amon, but there's no built up known character so far, just hints and some mixed truth/lies. There's also the greater problem of the "Industrial Age" (just seems appropriate here), where during Aang's time, just about all the technology was powered by bending but in Korra's time, machines are beginning to rise in popularity, eliminating benders usefulness.
And lol, Zutara could still happen, I swear the writers are trolling with that. I really wonder who Toph had kids with @_@

In the last episode he was still together with Suki, Suki wasn't a bender. Also I want to know what happen to Zuko!
This week episode are AWESOME! but the show is dragging on. When will Korra go to Avatar State mode.

I think most people are anticipating Korra doing Avatar-stuff. I've been waiting for her to talk to Aang. But I don't think think they're going to let her do that until at least for another episode or two, considering that if she talks to Aang, she can probably solve a few of the mysteries.
Zuko is still alive; he handed the Fire Lordship over to his daughter 3 years back. That info is on some Flash companion to The Legend of Korra on Nick's site.
