This manga really hit a snag that really should add the drama tag on this series.
I'm talking about this rape scene on this page,

Although the past events of the other characters have drama events, the shock value of this event has a bigger impact because of the amount of detail. The character who the readers have seen building her confidence is suddenly beaten down so quicky and easy. I wanted to post this tread not to spark a battle of the sexes, but to know what every reader thinks about it.

Personally, I had a hard time getting over it. When I read fiction books, I like to delve into them. I take my time in reading each character's line and description to better understand their personality. I follow the same logic when reading manga. So, when I read this chapter, the way the character was torn apart felt real. After the event, the she felt useless, guilty, and depressed. Even when she met her attacker at the ball, she reacted to his touch with fear. The impact left an impression on her that will never heal which is as real as the world gets. Now, I feel as if violence or death is not the best retribution although it is welcome. Nothing will ever feel correct to someone who went through that. That's how I reacted to it.

Yeah, I know. It's just another fictional story. Nothing is real, everything is permitted. But please, do post your reactions. It doesn't have to be as lengthy or detailed as this one.

I can't stand rape fiction or in real life, I know this manga is fiction but when i see a rape happening I get an bad feeling in my heart. I usually drop the manga like wolf guy and holy knight.

I like Cecily but She is so weak dispite having a demon sword. I mean she keeps expecting Luke to save her, i couldnt stand that back she screams for help but nothing happened. I was schocked at this part, i was hoping she would use aria but it didn't happen.

It's not rape, there wasn't any intercourse. Even if he wanted to to "that" he couldn't, as he stated himself, since he's a eunuch. (Google "eunuch" if you don't know what that is.) He just assaulted her to make his point. But regardless, it still traumatized her in a lot of ways.

So no, he didn't rape her. He punched her and groped her, but didn't rape her. Just wanted to clear up this misunderstanding on that scene.

I remember reading somewhere that the original scene was indeed rape, however due to the wave of massive complaints the author received, they changed it to groping. So yeah, it's a no and yes to that answer. No it's not rape in that scene in the manga, but yes it was originally depicted as a rape scene in the original LN.


Personally when I read, I like to familiarise with characters and when scenes like these happen, I feel a needle poking through my heart - it's depressing
Usually when these things happen, it's used to build and develop a character but I'd prefer another method was used if possible.

Eunuch is simply an insult for someone with a sexual dysfunction. The fact that Luke used that insult does not imply that Siegfried's dysfunction is exactly that. The original term was closer to "impotent" in meaning (不能).

when this part of the story came up it took me a while to actually react. Cecilly lost all her confidence instantly, and then it finally hit me.

Like I felt down about that chapter for like 3 days no joke it seriously got to me. I still love the story though !

Being sterile doesn't mean you're eunuch (As in having no sexual organ/having it removed). Luke says that to infurate the black knight (whose name I fail to remember) and make him fight.

intercourse or no implicit or explicit that was a rape scene...    not cool
