i just wanta know what kind of awesome ideas u guys can think of.
For me if i can draw and have a chance i would draw a manga like "Id: The greatest fusion fantasy" where it is in a fantasy land and the main character is already strong as hell but instead of having a nice personality he would be a dark hero and he wants to take over the land and make it his own and then after he take over a small kingdom by himself he will them raise a army and start some wars with other major countries. I think it will be a cool manga

Anyone can send a name to WSJ, I had in mind sending 2 different names for one of the competitions myself but I never managed the time to finish. The first one concerns the world in which we live in is actually an experiment to scope out the most highly talented human beings to join their society after playing a game after they die. The second is about hired butei from an elite organization that exists seperately from the United Nations or any government, and the most talented 10 are seperated into groups as a specialized team. The people scouted and hired ranges from assasins to talented martial artists and criminals. Main character is ranked #3 in his team, age 16, and holds two guns and a katana.

Another idea that i think will be cool would be that the main character travels back into the past like to the three kingdom or warring states period and helps out a side and try unify the land. Original but i still think that it would be awesome.
Or a manga like Highschool of the Dead where zombies are everywhere and the main character is a highschool student and with his friends/classmates try to survive but they just stay in one place like in the school and everyday they would try to reclaim some of the lands around them to start a city where it is zombie free.

Zombies = Been done to undeath (pun intended)

Here's mine. Urban fantasy. During the middle ages, all the gods of myth (greek, norse, indian etc.) decided they've had enough of humanity and left us to ourselves. But they left us their divine weapons and items (Kusanagi, Mjolnir, Golden Fleece etc.) which people fought and killed to acquire. There are various secret societies which collect these items and use them to shape history.

When I think about it, it's kinda similar to Assassin's Creed, but that was more sci-fi.

Somehow I feel like a horrible person for pointing people to the mangas that their ideas are similar to.

@Pizhh

I was going to point to Ganymede till you said weapons xD
Ganymede doesn't have weapons. But that sounds damn cool.

In a fictional past, all gods abandon humans, for reasons to be discovered later in series. Few high priests know, but Gods are made powerful by belief: this is how mages (they exist in the manga) use their powers, by believing in their magic. Only, gods have hunders of thousands of believers.
The story of our young (at first) protagonist who is a young thief, learns this secret, decides to make people believe in him in order to become a God!
He learns a lot about how naive he is in many ways, even though he is suspicious of everyone because of his time on the "streets".... he learns of more sophisticated deceit.
Problems, ofc, with: how far can you go to make people believe in you, without changing too much to make them leave? How does the way people see this god impact him as who he is etc? Add to that the corruption that power brings ,especially to an ex-street urchin... the character would change a lot throughout the series, and truly grow up :D I'm getting excited just describing it!

"He also let me know that clocks are still the in thing. That’s reassuring to me, as I was worried the fashion might have changed while I was gone. But no, he continues to point whenever he sees one, announcing to everyone who cares to listen that there is a clock. I agree to this as well, even if that particular clock happens to be, say, a thermometer.

There is an art to conversation, you see, and part of that art is the ability to occasionally let a trifling difference of opinion slide by without making a federal case out of it.

So he says, “Clock,” and I think, Okay. Fair enough. I see your point.

“Clock,” I agree."

Hello, first post. I saw this topic and went 'I'm curious what other people think.' and made an account. I'm someone with a vivid imagination. I think of worlds, stories, and characters on the fly varying from the music I listen to, video games I play, and anime I watch. They all help me build foundations for what I imagine. The worlds I like more get built more, and more while the ones that are okay at best get left alone. Anyways, onto what I was going to say.

Oh, and I love Fantasy. Low fantasy, high fantasy. You name it.

Firstly, what would be your generic tower dungeon climbing adventure. The main character travels to this city, centered around exploring this tower, in order to discover, or even find, what had happened to his father many years prior to the story(did I mention he would be something along the lines of early twenties in age? No? Okay. just making sure) and puts together a team of a mage(alchemist, it's a general low fantasy set-up), an archer(with a giant crossbow), a royal(WHO DOES SOMETHING HOLY SHIT) from a different country, and a monk who knows how to heal as well as inflict large amounts of pain. Generally the first story would be them meeting up and going into the tower meeting up with another guild who then teaches them the ropes and what not. It would generally be happy and light hearted for this part until they reach the end of the first stratum, where they meet the first guardian. When they encounter him, they first encounter one of the tutorial group. The only survivor, only to die moments later as he's crushed to death by the giant chimera. Well that's one down.

Oh wait, there's also a race of people called Exiles who exist within the tower, the main character being half. His mother dying from an unknown disease when he was young, his father left to the tower in search of a cure. The city it's based in has a high-population of mixed Exile blood, but there's never been any Exiles seen outside the tower as well as the beasts that are in it.

Next, two kingdoms constantly at war. One side are humans, the other side are...well, beast-men. Well, less beast-men and more 'we can transform partially into animals'. Think humans who can sprout dragon wings, horns, and change their hands and feet into claws. That sort of thing. Couldn't think of an original name, Anyways, they are constantly at war with only brief periods of peace in between. Neither side is evil, and neither side is good. Both are technologically advance and are at about the same while one side excells at boosting their innate abilities(beast-men power suits) and the other creating things allowing them a chance(humans) neither side winning. The story starts in a small village with the main character, the village doctor(who'se mother had been a dragon-type beast-man..well, woman) and his two childhood friends. Their village is attacked by enemies from the opposing country, but something seemed not right. The village was neutral in the affairs of the war. His mother had told him about how small villages like theirs were always targeted first by their home country because of harboring spies. Not the other way around. Realizing something odd, he leaves with his friends to find the truth. A tale of adventure, heroism, and a giant experiment involving both races in order to find a way for world peace in the most odd way ever happens.

I could type more, but I really don't want to. It's 3:25 A.M

I have a list of things that should be in it:

- bittersweet
- superb action, fights, etc.
- philosophical questions: like what is good/bad, what is our goal in life, etc.
- Nakama! Real friendship, nothing shallow
- Hope, I want people to gain hope from it
- A questionable enemy, is he/she really evil?

Rather a combination of this :).

@crazyjavi87 Pardon me for being frank, but your ideas wasn't very original and are rather inconsistent. There are no clear objectives plus you throwed around too many ideas all at once. I'm afraid I have to be horrible too and point out any similarities associated with any Game or Anime, assuming that you had viewed or played any of them.

-Druaga no Tou- aka -The Tower of Druaga-. This Anime have two seasons and is adapted from an very old RPG game.
-Tale of The Abyss- This Anime is also adapted from an RPG game.(well, most RPG are Fantasy themed)
-Tears to Tiara- Was originally and Eroge but the Anime is adapted from the game for the PS3 version.
-Grandia Extreme-. Played this game on the PS2 before.

Well...so all in all, you just mixed a little of everything in a nutshell. I'm only stating afew example here, won't be nice to go into every little details and it's just my opinion, period.

how about this idea that i came up with.
  • the story is set in this world and about the same timeline as now, some people are born with supernatural power and they range the power from F-A then from A-S-SS-SSS then it goes to King and lastly it goes to Emperor; the higher the rank the lesser there is like an Emperor lvl is only born in 1 from every billion people or so and their is only about 5 million people who has supernatural powers out of the 7 billion; the normal people don't know about them and the government wanted to remain it that way and will use any means neccecary
  • the main character is a 18 year old male who is a Emperor rank and has the power to make any supernatural power that he sees his like the main character from "needless" and two other powers that introduce itself later in the story, he has a calm and polite nature and don't get angry easily, but he hates being told what to do and being look down at, he follows the rule "an eye for an eye" and will have revenge for everyone who piss him off, one way or another
  • at the age of 15 he tried to conquer the continent and 2 years later succeeded in doing so,then he formed a organization called "AERO" which controls the continent from the shadow
the story will be about the struggles that the main character has from other Emperors and their territory, the governments of the countries who is displeased about being controlled and his own private life

i really wanted to more down but i just cant's seem to put my thoughts into words, oh well i still think it will be cool

hmm no, it's not really a competition and butei are not necessarily all assasins. Other than that I can't see you pointing out any fine-line similarities.

Did you read it though?

The competition is to choose who will rule and build the next society.
And they may all be assassins but they all have different martial arts. Assassins aren't specified to a martial arts group.
They form teams and groups though its not pivotal to the story because the main character is a loner.
The main character is #5 in ranking, a kid that wields two guns that have powers like a whip.

Well i would draw the books i have been writting on for a long time. an down to earth Fantasy setting about a boy that falls into coma and wakes up in a world that is not his, as a son to a Tribe leader.
The boy is smart and knows alot of things and how they are made and so on (like mariya in Cage of Eden). And how he adapts to living in this world.

It kinda is a alot of genre in my books since i hate to just stick to one.... i would call it more Slice to life since i want it and it's world and content to feel real and alive. xP

sorry for not revealing that much.

Just writing out a general outline for a plot. Too lazy to go into too much detail and characters don't have names but this is something that has been in my head for a while. Thinking of making it into sort of lighthearted comedy with some action parts. Also gonna address some parts of today's society such as homeless people, NEETs, human trafficking etc. Forgive me if it seems like there's too much ideas or if the ideas are cliche. It's kinda based on ToAruMaNoIn so it should sound similar. This is the first few parts of the story. Kinda have about 1/4 of the story thought out in my head...

Title: Rampaging Gods

Year 3204.
The political party Army for Animal Rights wins the long war for world power. They became an absolute power only rivaled by the Roman Catholic Church. They created a worldwide law that forbids "consumption of animals and animal products". Meat lovers around the world then started a rebellion which was easily crushed by the Army for Animal Rights. The Army had been doing secret human experiments that led to the creation of humans that possess supernatural powers which they called "Gods". After creating an army of these enhanced humans, they proceeded to create giant robots which they called "Titans". By using the power of the "Titans" and the "Gods", their grip on the world has become absolute, causing the Roman Catholic Church to vanish into ancient history. Soon, the people of the world forgot what the word "God" originally meant.

Year 3214
10 years have passed. Animal farms and factories have converted to making tofu and other meat alternatives. The meat industry has turned into a multi-billion black market.

A man in his late twenties gets caught smuggling 20 pounds of meat. He is sent to a prison island to carry out a ife sentence. Worrying about the 4 year old daughter he left behind, he sought ways to escape. There, he meets the daughter of the leader of the rebellion ten years ago. She had tattoos on her back of ancient runes that her father left her saying that "it will summon a force that can destroy the world many times over" and that she must carry on his will to fight the Army for Animal Rights because "people need the freedom to choose what to eat". She has been unable to activate it during her whole life. The man then finds out that he can read the runes and they ended up summoning a demon. *Note: the demon is actually an angel that has been banished from heaven*

They break out of prison with the "Gods" chasing them. The "Gods" could not comprehend what sort of ability the demon has since they have never seen magic before. The demon then summons a giant flying creature which he called Hermes and they fly from the island. As they are being pursued by the guards, the demon summons Poseidon to kill their pursuers.
The demon, the revolutionary, and the father/smuggler then agreed to work together and kick the Army for Animal Rights from power. Now that they have the power to oppose the "Titan" and "God" units of the AAR,

The time for the Gods to recover their title has come.
