Next frame.
"I knew it... Girls should be pretty before anything else, huh?"
Knew what? Ok so how did it go from Jan saying she is going out with him because she really does like him, to this comment about girls being pretty which continues on to a whole conversation about physical beauty and relationships. This jump in the conversation makes no senses, especially the "I knew it" part.
Ok, her sister is saying girls should be pretty before they should be smart, have good personality, be kind, be strong, etc., as summed up by "before anything else" And Jan agrees with this? A women whos devoted her life to boxing thinks being pretty is the number one goal in life for girls? This must be a mistranslation. Jan also says in a latter frame "Hotness is also important to some extent." which is much different then "before anything else"
Also Jan reportedly says "Men are all the same!", so Jan who sees different men in her life in very different ways as evidenced by the rest of the comic, is saying that there is no difference in men, that they are essentially just the same creature? Must be another mistranslation.
Also the thrust of Jans discussion seems to be that she likes him because he likes her for who she is, whether she really likes him for who he is doesn't seem to be very relevant in the conversation, is this really what she is saying?
So half way down the chapter goes all wonky and confusing on me, can anyone please help out here?

I think we're listening to "girl talk" that is there to show some insight into the charecters personalities but will probably not have any sort of groundbreaking impact on the plot. for what it's worth, my opinion is that Jane, before meeting Taejin, had no romantic experience at all other than trying to keep from being victimized by the opposite sex (and everybody else for that matter). i think she has grown up comparativly poor and has developed a gruff personality as a means of protection(tsundere?). to me, everything her little sister says reflects her own feeling of inferiority/admiration to/for her older sister.

The topic is all over the place because it's the ramblings of a teen age girl talk. At the same time, the little sister shows repeated signs of inferiority complex towards her sister who is strong and pretty. Jane on the other hand shows a typical shallow girl's POV. Because this is who she believes herself to be, belief of which is changing because of Taejin. Jane's argument whithers as she gets grilled by her little sister because her foundations aren't strong; what she believes herself to be is not the same as who she really is. It's a scene where the character itself changes, thus the self-contradiction.

so cool(really), Grumpy actally agreed with my long rambling opinion(what i meant to say, at least)I don't get why you assume with certainty for mistranslation (yet again).
