I wonder how long it'll take for Akamatsu to have Negi re-appear. I mean, as stated before, it's obvious that there's just no way he's dead. Not only because of the effects of Magia Erebea but the fact his death was never confirmed, just assumed because he disappeared apparentely. I believe it was mentioned that when he first 'died'  (if not sometime before) in the final battle with the fates, actually I believe it was when he was still stone and he saw his father, raken, eva and what not, that if he chose to returned that he'd be choosing to become a monster/not human anymore or whatever. Come to think of it, it was near the end of the manga (before the festival where everyone tried to find out who he liked) he had a battle with Asuna and eva where Raken and the others were talking about the 'price' he and asuna had paid to save the world, with setsuna.

 

Which makes me wonder if Akamatsu is just pulling another act like when it was made to look like Nagi was dead. Which makes me even more curious as to what happened to him. Another shady group? I'm just that Touta will uncover it all in UQ Holder! It's probably engraved in the main plot, you never know.

now that u mention it, at the opening story of UQ holder, when eva walks together with her friends from 3A and negi, the 2nd picture shows that she go forward but her friends left behind (means dead), but negi isn't shown anymore on 2nd picture.. so.. maybe.....

Everyone is assuming he's dead but they keep forgetting the events of the first series and that he's a user of Magia Erebea and that his death was never confirmed. It was noted many times that he was 'just like evangeline'. Man, people write off others way too fast lol. I just hope when he gets brought back, he wont have such a short role like Nagi did when he got brought back up in the manga. I also hope Akamatsu gets to actually complete his story this time because with the way the magic world arc neared it's end, it looked like he wanted to expand further into them tracking down his father and doing a whole lot more but that was rushed to where by the final chapter, they've aready saved him and 7 years passed. Long live UQ HOLDER! Hope it lasts just as long as the first if not longer.

yeah, what i mean on 2nd picture by negi's not shown anymore while everyone shown behind eva (means everyone from 3A already dead) is that maybe he's lost, or by some means can't be with eva, or just wait for the UQ holder's series lol. i hoped and i really think that it will be revealed in this series, about negi's whereabouts or  what caused his death if he's dead and his wife etc.

I'm pretty sure Negi is alive somewhere. His Magia Erebea is completed, unlike Eva, as we know it. With that power, he's even more like invincible than immortal now. Anyway, I'm pretty sure more hints will be mentioned at Ch.37 of UQ Holder! as Touta will face Fate.

Think about it. He's 11 (c'mon, he's HAD to have had a birthday by the end), he's got a girl who is a big robot, boys love to play with robots,

and he's a kid... I like robots.^^
