i was wondering if angel heart has any more (major) spoilers for City hunter other then Kaori dying

just a simple yes or no please

i was wondering if reading angel heart after i read the 19 volumes of City hunter available at the moment would completely ruin the story or not

i really regret reading the description for Angel heart :(

the mangaka of City Hunter said that Angel Heart is not a continuation of the story but a parallel universe to the story. So that people who haven't had the chance to read City Hunter wouldn't be turned off by the start of Angel Heart.

Which is a f***ing shame. There aren't many differences between City Hunter and Angel Heart, and - in my opinion - Angel Heart wouldn't have been much worse, if it had been written conform to City Hunter. At least the manga definitely wouldn't have lost more in terms of story, as it would've gained because it then can be regarded as a direct sequel to City Hunter, which was a quite popular manga in of itself, running dozens of volumes in weekly shonen jump.

Maybe there were licensing issues, City Hunter and Angel Heart ran under two different publishers. If so, it's a damn shame how publishers can meddle with their mangaka that much...
