Been feeling under the weather lately. I don't know if I am able to sing on the weekends with my throat messed up so I'll apologize if I hand it in my voice clip late.
Thanks Shugo and Wolf for making the composition =)
Does anyone know if we sing the entire song or do we sing the assigned parts only?

Don't worry about it if your sick, just get well soon!

It was my pleasure.

Sing the entire song, I'll be taking chunks out of it, and it will be good for reference. I also suggest that you don't attempt the pickup ("Se-no") with the main song, but record that separately, since it will be nearly impossible to know when to start from there. Actually, in the end, only one person should have to record that line, so you don't need to if you don't want to bother with the extra trouble.

Would you mind if we record parts of the song separately? That way, we can get better recordings without having to worry about doing the whole song flawlessly?

No problem, I can patch those together easily.

OK, before I record, I found my range.
1 Octave and 5 notes. Low G to the D above middle C

I can sing in the same range as the Izaya or Shizuo version. UnmeiNoShugosha, which would you prefer?
I can also sing in between. Just throwing out options.

Whichever your more comfortable with. If it doesn't matter to you, though, I guess higher is better since Xinhope says he's a bass. Also, since UnmeiNoShugosha is a pain to type, let alone 運命の守護者, you can shorten it to Shugosha or just Shu.

OK! I'll try and sing higher, then. It takes a little more effort, but I can manage.
I just hope I can record everything by the end of the weekend.

I found out that you can buy mics for singing for about $25, for if you don't own one, but want to fork out the extra cash to up your quality.
Whichever you can sing best is the better option. And if you want to send me a quick beta sample, I can piece it together and show it to you for reference. It'll also give me more practice.

Hmm..... I might look into that.
My Logitech Headset mic should suffice for now.

Since they're made for speaking, the quality increase from a headset to a real microphone is probably amazing, but that is of little matter when we're not aiming for amazing quality. I mentioned it because it's affordable if someone wanted the extra boost for vanity. I just got my B-day money, so I might get one, since I'm not satisfied with how my headset records singing. But anything not built into the computer is enough for our needs. I'm not sure how a built-in mic would fair, though.

Built in mics often cause an echo effect we might not like.

If anything, a built in mics echo might have to be changed to make the person more like a vocaloid, so it doesn't sound bad.

I fell asleep on Sunday. I stayed up late talking to you in Skype. DX

Either way, my vocals are improving. I should get most of it done by today.

I've just sent mine. sorry for the delay. also, tell me if there're parts of the song that you're unsatisfied with and i'll fix it.

wait wolf, i thought i have low voices considering my daily speaking tone. but as i record it turns out my voice is a lot lighter. it sounds kinda like izaya/araragi with a bit of sore throat LOL. it would be no problem as we can change the pitch in synthetizer though but i'll leave it up to shugo.

here's the files for other member who want to hear it. don't blame me for any damage to your ear :P

vocal only :

with instruments :

with sengoku :

sorry, forgot that i put a password on it. the password is sing4batoto

Good job, Xinhope! You did such a good job with preliminary editing that I could barely find a large enough amount of pure white noise to use the remove noise function. I balanced it out, added +5 bass boost, equalized the volume and checked the synchro. All of it's done now except for 4 parts. Could I get you to rerecord 37.5s-41.5s, 1m25s-1m30s, 1m45s-2m1.5s, and 4m7s-END. The rhythm is off a bit too much on each of these segments.

I uploaded your version here, though it's my first time uploading something, and I'm being rushed, so I might have screwed up.
