It may be a little late to make a thread like this, since some believe that the current development of the story could lead to the manga to ends soon.

Well, without further ado, the question is quite simple, between the two heroines, which one is your favourite?
Is it Mao, the childhood friend that Harisugawa loves from the very beginning, or is it Saki, a cool beauty who managed to swayed Harisugawa's heart (and most reader I reckon) for a bit?

Mao, since even though her character is your typical cute childhood friend type, it still seems to me that she's best paired with Harisugawa. Just as chapter 25 has shown, the two seem to always have a mutual understanding of each other no matter what types of situations they get in, whether it's about being trapped in a mirror or laundry.... :)

Green, your way of saying "trapped in a laundry" could be misleading you know, lol

Seems it's time for me to give my answer. To be honest, I still can't choose between those two, but slowly because of the development that we got, I think it's leaning towards Mao.

Wow just read this all just now cause it seemed interesting (plus liked Mx0), and it was pretty cool. But for your question.. I think I'd have to say Saki. She seems much more interesting than Mao, and has more character (to me at least). Mao comes off sort of as just a cute face, but thats about it. She's smart, cute, and can cook (major plus!), but like... I don't know, she just seems to lack much of a personality. She's always quiet and I don't know just doesn't seem to have... something. >_____> I don't know how to explain it lol. Saki on the other hand seems much more interesting. She's also cute, has character, kind and whatever, but she also has the guts to say her feelings which is more than you can say about the other two characters >_____>. Made the story a lot more interesting. Would be cooler to see the lead with Saki in the end. Kind of sucked that she lost her memories. But would still rather see someone not afraid of the results who could just be herself and confess get the happy ending; instead of some girl who stays quiet, misunderstands everything (yeah I know its for comedic value), kind of lacks a personality, and still manages to win every guy's heart (kind of funny lol), get the ending.

Sorry Mao lovers for hating =p.

For me, it's definitely Saki!

About why Saki is more lovely, adorable than Mao, you're right about most of the part, bro. And even though Mao is cute, you can't get the gist why Saki's still your favourite character, right?

Let me clear it out for you! Mao's cute and all, but the perception about her own feelings isn't quite sharp. To put it another way, she's rather dull when there are obviously a lot of hints that shows Harisugawa's love for her. And she's kind of passive.
->Mao is no doubt your oblivious-of-the-one-she-loves typical character. We see this quite a alot in manga. Just that it's usually the guy is the oblivious one.

Saki, on the other hand, is very clear-headed and perceptive. She notices Harisugawa's unrequited love like ages ago! Moreover, she's proactive! when Saki fell in love with Harisugawa, she doesn't hesitate confessing her love for him. I'd like my girl to be just like that, which I think you're pretty the same!

If only Harisugawa knows Saki first :batoto_012: just a little push and she'd fall head over heels for him. Well, not that I don't like the main couple though :batoto_031: .

They were all together in the same school since they were little and Saki was Mao's best friend even then, it's just that Mao was cuter that Harisugawa noticed her first.

i like Saki its not like i hate Mao but Saki has this level headed feeling and is a person that seems more likely to be able to show the feeling which is what i like about any female character able to do it, but sadly Mao is close but is just a bit too dense
For Light there must be Dark so what does Dark do to have Light?

Mao comes off as a stock character: checks off all the expected personality boxes so that readers are comfortable with her being the Shounen Romance Female Lead. Saki actually has a personality and character that exists outside of being just an object of Hari's desire, which automatically makes her more interesting just for the level of unpredictability she brings to the story.
