I cannot view any manga. The images never load. No matter what manga I try to read, no images will show up. When I try to view the images directly I get a "Cannot connect" error. The site is completely unusable for me. The following is all that loads:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33155339/POSWebsite.png

I'm using the latest version of CometBird (an offshoot of FireFox), 7.01. I'm on a Windows 7 x64 bit system. I have high-speed internet. I have no idea what the problem could be other than a down server or shoddy coding. Considering that updates are still being uploaded and their seem to be no other complaints like this, I'm guessing the latter over the former.

Have you tried using a different browser?

Edit:
P.S.: Welcome to Batoto!

Not as of yet, but it's not really worth it for me. My main browser is Comet Bird. The only other browser I have is Chrome. I'm not opening 80+ tabs in Chrome, let alone spending the time customizing it. I can always just use MangaReader or MangaFox, I just thought I'd point out a compatibility error. For the sake of testing, I'll try using Chrome now, it'll probably work, but that doesn't solve the issue. It just replaces one inconvenience for another.

Edit: Even that doesn't work. I have the broken image icon on Chrome when trying to load a page.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't really criticizing you for your choice of browsers. :)
I only asked that so that we know whether it's a browser specific issue or not.

I know, just sick and agitated so I'm not very patient. Doesn't work for Chrome either. Beginning to think it's some connectivity issue. If someone who had the same IP strain as me got IP banned, that could be causing it. It could also be getting blocked along the way, but by what I'd have no idea. Firewall is set to ask.

Is there any reason the site could be marked dangerous or malicious? The IMG server, I mean? I think I have an idea of the cause. Seeing if I can fix it.

We might have to wait for Grumpy on this one.

Maybe doing what Grumpy suggested here:
http://www.batoto.ne...dpost__p__41831
could help him locate the problem.

Edit: I don't think the site is marked dangerous or malicious otherwise we'd have a lot more people complain about it. Can really say much about the IP though. Do you get a new one if you restart your router?

Fixed it. The Image Server was getting marked as potentially malicious by MalwareBytes, which normally doesn't happen without good reason. The only other time I've seen it do that is for sites like nyaatorrents or TokyoTokashon basically BitTorrent sites, never image servers. Odd. For it to be marked as malicious, I can only assume it's checking if certain ports are accessed and denying it. Blah. It usually tells me when it is doing that too.

I feel like a moron now, but truthfully, that's not the problem I expected to have. Malwarebytes has no problem elsewhere.

Don't feel like a moron when you solved the problem yourself! :)

Anyway, glad it's working again!

Aye. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It's Website Protection module blocks access to img.batoto.com which prevents images from loading. Why it does this for this site and not others like it, I don't know. I would assume it has something to do with how the server itself is setup or the ports it uses. Probably something stupid like that. Thing is, I usually never have a problem with it so I forgot it was even on and since I just started using this site (as in I only came here just yesterday), I didn't even realize that that was what was causing the problem.

Our images are loaded in the most plain way possible under http (port 80). Served through nginx which is pretty common for static content...
I suppose I should ask 'em...

Im having the same problem of the images either not loading, or only partially loading. Im using Ubuntu 11.10 (linux) therefore I know its not an antivirus causing my problems. Any suggestions?
P.S. I pinged img.batoto.net and I had a packet loss of 30%. Is that normal?

ROFL, that's most definitely abnormal. I blame your ISP... although, I've had the image partially loading problem as well, but not lately. But packet loss should be at 0%...

Im using chrome. I pinged several other sites just to make sure. Even the normal www.batoto.net is fine with 0 packet loss. only img. batoto.net.
And I definately don't have speed issues, I have my firewall turned off (its linux, and im pretty careful anyways).
I don't really see what could be causeing the problem. I even tried clearing my cache.

I figured I should put up a ping result too, since everybody else was. The first ping test was out of 104 pings, this one is out of 14 so I think the first one holds truer...

Um... unfortunately, ping lacks information for debugging.
If you could post results of

tracert img.batoto.com

I'll try to forward that to the datacenter and hopefully they be able to resolve the issue.
I may also post with a temporary solution soon...
