Hey there,

 

I work with Cyan-Steam(Sherrif Evans Lies, Saotome-senshu, Rokudou) as their proofreader. I'm currently working on a repository of scanlators/their websites/series they're actively working on. It's almost impossible to find every active scanlator without asking around. My list does not include: non-English scanlators, inactive groups(8+ months), or any other form of translation(games/anime/LNs/etc.). 

 

This is my current spreadsheet, I've enabled it to be edited by anyone and everyone. I have a backup saved every two minutes in case someone decides to mess with it. What I need right now is the communities support in adding to this. You can save this for your own records, use it for your website, etc. I've had ideas of creating a lite website that will allow users to search for series in relation to the group that works on it and vice versa but that's still just an idea.

 

You can view an edited list of what I currently have here on reddit and the actual spreadsheet to edit right here. I know people have backed up a lot of this sites data, but what I'm looking for as I stated before is active groups, active series, etc etc.

 

I'm doing this because I love the manga community and I feel like this medium of entertainment is getting more and more popular every year. If the community could help me out a little bit it would be greatly appreciated.  Cheers.

 

Again, this spreadsheet is available to all. Save it, edit it, integrate it into your website however you like.

How is this different from what Manga-updates tracks?  Just asking.  (I know they dropped live links to scanlator websites, because of publisher pressure.)

With Manga-updates tracking every group, it's somewhat difficult to track down active/new scanlation groups. They have a HUGE repository, which is great. I'm building this for future sites or users(after batoto) to look through this and find the scanlators website//manga they may have read recently. Also, even though manga-updates is okay at updating scanlation groups, it definitely isn't up to date with active scanlation groups. The repository I'm building is current as of today.

 

edit: But like you said, it's difficult to find where each groups website is. I don't plan to keep this repository up forever, so I'd like to see it uploaded to a batoto-like site or just for users to download for their own reference.

I've seen that list happening and i'm glad to see people contributing.

However, I am concerned about the amount of "no group" uploaders not getting tracked on Baka Updates.

I hope someone has the time to help them out as I personally feel that they are hit the hardest by the shutdown of the site.

Chapters 8-10 for this particular have not be noted on manga updates because there is no group.

Further more there may not be any website available for these uploaders. 

 

I have already reach out to this particular user and pm'd them about the existence of the Batoto discord.

The discord isn't really useful right now, but it may be prove useful in the future.
