I posted in the thread that Grumpy posted about my thoughts on the moderator. Got a few likes, someone else agreed with me. Ocha responded saying something along the lines of "Thank you for your comments, I take them as compliments lol please post more about me in another discussion" Ocha deleted the response, locked the thread, and deleted my post. I took a cap of my post for this exact scenario. If you go to the thread, you can still see someone's response to my post as of the time I am typing this up. Nevermind, Ocha deleted that one too while I was typing this up. Didn't get a screenshot of it.

 

My post had some points where I thought their methods were questionable. The links in the post are as follows:

 

Advising people to donate in order for their voice to be heard.

 

Condescending tone to simple questions.

 

Says this.

 

My post was aggressive, I'll admit that. But I think my points stand and reading from the posts others have made along side all the frustration that people have shown towards the moderator in this thread, I'm sure that most people have the same sentiment. 

 

There are two reasons I can think of as to why the moderator deleted my post. Either they thought I was attacking them personally and deleted it according to the rules, or they want to hide any form of argument that says they're a bad mod.

 

I've admitted that my post was aggressive towards the moderator. I should have worded it more neutrally, and that's my mistake. I'm sorry about that. But I was not attacking the moderator as a person. I was attacking the moderator as a moderator. 

 

With Ocha's behavior as is, they are not fit to be moderating any site. And if what Ocha says in the post they deleted is true, and Grumpy and the other Administrators of bato.to allow for this sort of behavior from a mod, then there's nothing that can be done. We just have to put up with this infuriating moderation.

 

I don't necessarily want Ocha to step down, I just want their behavior readjusted to look like an actual moderator. Someone that is supposed to stop pointless fighting in the discussions, not fan the flames by acting like a condescending know-it-all. Not punish everyone using the comments by locking it down, but dealing with the actual troublemakers with warnings and soft/hard bans. Actually listen to the users, instead of sticking to one point and brushing aside any other argument. Act like a moderator.

 

I refuse to speak with Ocha and I don't want their input. I know what Ocha wants to say. I'm pretty sure they won't read/won't understand everything I am saying. I want a statement from the Administrative team. Are Ocha's actions reflective of what they believe bato.to's moderation should look like? If they say that Ocha's in charge of comments and such, then I'll drop the issue. You won't hear from me again. I'll continue reading from bato.to, but I will not be using any of the social aspects of it, like comments, forums, PMs.

 

I'll reiterate from my deleted post. I love bato.to and its community. It's easy to keep updated on the manga I want to read. I like to see the little jokes and whatnot in the comments. But if Ocha is representative of the bato.to team, I just have to say that it paints an awful picture of the site.

 

I wonder if Ocha will delete this post as well. I'll screencap this one, too.

I've had to point this out a few times now, but criticizing someone's ability in something like moderation is not the same as criticizing the person themselves. Gartender may have sounded a bit too aggressive like he said in his post, but that doesn't mean his points are moot. The best way to move forward isn't to just ignore and delete people, it's to have a discussion, whether it's here, or in personal messages. If Gartender doesn't want to talk to Ocha, I know there are plenty of users here willing to have a respectful discussion with Ocha about why so many people were mad about her actions, as long as she's willing to listen to them. The best way to go about now isn't to make Ocha feel bad, but to make her realize why people were so upset with her.

Someone PM me about subby new chap , and wow , what a surprise . they went toooo damn far this time ,

 

i feel ashamed for defending them in the first time. and to think this thread went this far too.

in the beginning i tot they just some fan sub who's doin their first work for the first time , but what can i say . i just regret it and i cant take back those word .

"a woman who got the hots into a guy and started pushing herself to him but this guy doesn't like her turned and rejected him down, woman piss off decided to troll him and yelp sexual harassment, then you bypassing heard it goes to become a hero.

guy politely explains things then police(svines85) arrives and arrested the guy without even asking the events cause all that he can see is this. so guy called the lawyer(OchaMeido) guy politely explains things to lawyer but lawyer is adamant that things would get easy if he just apologize, guy with no choice but take his/her job instead and become a lawyer himself..so things escalate, taking it to the court where Grumpy resides in.

i yearn for true gender equality A guy who has no problem with doling out a drop kick to a female opponent. Don't think I'll go easy..wait wait. Dang It!!

This thread was initially created in regards to comments about chapter 39, which was absolutely horrid, poorly translated according to other translators in the comments and with a bunch of unneeded edits, which shouldn't have been allowed to be uploaded, but was technically allowed according to the rules that got chapter 40 taken down.

 

Oh, and now I've been given a warning for "Disregarding Staff Member Requests", since apparently mods can make up warn-able offenses on the spot, and "do not 'response' to this comment" means nobody is allowed to question it ever, not just "don't quote it in the comment section." So clearly she's reading this, but still refusing to acknowledge a thing. Well, good job, you gave me a warning three days after I last posted and dragged me back here kicking and screaming long after I had abandoned this thread.

OH RIGHT!! now that i look at the threads starting date its back in november!! sorry about that.. also i wanna add in the story "police(svines85) reported and proud that he got the guy lock(comment section)... also lets add evidence she got white stuff all over but which the result in lab test was just milk(chapter 39 meme)". its not your fault for misunderstanding things like that if you saw a scene like this, you also just got trick by that damn girl(subby-D).

I will be closing this topic as it is pointless now since the issue has been resolved with the chapter in question. As for chapter 39 from the group I myself could not find fault, but since I am not a comic mod I just forwarded them to make them check it. For people who were warned in this mess, feel free to pm me with proof of why they were warned, if for some reason you were on the side of reason I can make them disappear otherwise I will not. For any other questions pm me or honestly just shoot me a message via Discord because that will be the fastest way to get me to respond.
