I don't know much about the origin of the word "Tsukkomi", but this feature's function is that you can comment directly on a manga's page. Of course, you can choose turn it off so this doesnt' affect your reading experience.

Because it has been implemented on some other manga reader sites, as seen here. I often go to one of those sites for reading comments of comedy manga, that usually make the page even more funny than itself. Hence, it will be great if you could consider this function on Batoto so that it will make reading manga even more interesting, and attract more members. You can know about people's feeling on a specific page.

Of course, some drawbacks of Tsukkomi that could be annoying are: inappropriate jokes, trolling, irrelevant/ stray topics, and especially spoilers (people come back to post spoiler after reading further, like a character's death at the page they are first introduced) but like main comment section, those comments could be monitored, reported, and users can be banned. And we could allow only active members / members with xxx posts to make Tsukkomis, to avoid spam. For first time reading of a new manga, it's advisable to switch off Tsukkomi.

Anyway, it's a great feature I hope to see on Batoto.
