Ch17

Ok, maybe the fairy ghost doesn't know where the golden box is exactly. But surely she should know who the rightful owner is!  How come it didn't occur to the fairy ghost to tell who the rightful owner is, or the princes to ask? She might have even said where she could look for the rightful owner. But nooo, got to make it hard for no reason. Another quasiriddle for it's own sake.  I suppose the box itself has clues to who the rightful owner is, else I don't see how she is to accomplish this request.

Also, could it be that Mima has the princesses share of her powers? But how come her dad still had his powers? Could Mima and her dad be related somehow?

Also, pay it back, seems like giving something in exchange, but yet the effects talked about, is just mana drying up, in other words, not getting more.

Well, maybe Aquileia herself doesn't know who the rightful owner is...

As for Mima's relation to the royal family... He did kinda mention that he "misses Aiud"(ep.11), and that he met Aquileia (Aiud's companion), what means that he knew the founder of the kingdom (and the bloodline). Maybe was his friend?

(Btw, the kingdom was founded 1314 years ago (Ep.7, the date Lacoruna writes) lol)

Hm.. the payback was losing his bloodline's magic... We don't know when exactly that happened, the princess didn't awaken as magician at all, and she's now, what? 17? 18?

We also don't know yet what Aiud's magic was. Creating mana crystals doesn't really sound like a magic powerful enough to "kill Death itself"(ep.6) xD

I didn't necessarily mean related by blood specifically. I meant related in general. Like maybe Mima resurrected for the first time and and the princess was born or her dad died on the same day, for connected reasons, or something else like that. I would not be surprised if princesses dad and Mima knew each other.

the payback was losing his bloodline's magic.

You are missing the point. Didn't his bloodlines magic come from the agreement in the first place? The mages had no mana, so they were given mana. Lets say I am getting fifty thousand dollars a year from someone. On condition that once someone came back from the dead, I had to "pay it back" by not getting money any more every year. But how is that "paying it back"?

Hm.

You can see it that way: Some humans have innate 'magic'. But the amount of 'mana' they have is random for each human.
A human who got magic but no mana can not use his magic.

Aiud had magic, but lacked mana.

So he made a deal and got mana, but in exchange he has to give up his innate magic once a certain condition is met.
That deal is attached to especially his magic, and not limited by generation. So no matter who of his descendants has his magic in the future, once the condition of the trade appears, the magic disappears.

Didn't the fairy say that the deal was draining Aiud?  Who/what was this deal with, does the story say?

Anyway, so how does giving up innate magic help this being? (I understand you probably can't answer that)

I could answer all that, but that would be massive spoilers xD

It is a mystery after all. Haha

All I can say is that the whole "trade/deal" mystery is a major point in the second season (season 1 has 40 episodes).

Hints are also given to the end of season 1.

This is definitely a series you can re-read multiple times and find hints of the past  :'D

Btw, I tried starting up a fanwiki for Mima a while back, I didn't work on it for a while tho. -> Mima Wiki

Should I assume the wiki doesn't spoil past translated chapters?

I tried not to spoil, if there are spoilers, they are marked and concealed.

Sooo, Prishy got magic xD But what kind? Is her problem solved now? Stay tuned!
