I once read a horror manga with a lot of chapters (100+) which is a collection of short stories (that is each chapter has its own arc and plot). I only remembered 2 of the stories : a man's lover who turned into a mushroom-like entity after being hidden under the man's bed and a girl turned into a tree which then was burned by a boy. I suspected it was a webtoon, but I can't seem to find it. Any help is very appreciated.

If it's not what 112358 suggested, try looking at Junji Ito's work. Specifically his bunches of spooky(?) short stories.
