[RWBY]

They streamed the 1st episode on Twitch worldwide twice just earlier. It was pretty good start. The only problem is the long neck.

Also there was some change to the events compared to the 1st chapter of the manga.

I still think the character designer should be fired, but damn, I've been rewatching the episode over and over again. I just can't get enough!

A bit disappointed by the lack of some scene from the chapter 1 in the first episode. I guess they probably couldn't fit in one episode..

The character design in the anime made everyone's faces less round:

Other than that, everything is good. I'm curious about if they can manage to keep up with the good animation for 24 episodes. I love that ending song.

Problems with the anime:

• Bad CGI dancers in the background (Something everyone was worried since before the anime even got announced.)
• Lots of shots of dancing from the waist up and waist down instead of fullbody 
• Lots of still shots of people dancing with zero animation (And a lot of those still shots don't look nearly as good as the manga panels)
• Didn't sell the appeal of the sport at all (to me) which is crucial in a good sports anime
• Tatara's voice actor kinda bothers me but w/e

 

Things I liked:

• Music is awesome
• ED and OP
• Voice acting is great other than my slight problem with Tatara

 

 

I'm hoping things will get better, but right now I'm kinda disappointed.

I agree. Tsuchiya's voice sounds too deep for Tatara, and flat at times. He needed a lighter voice, kinda like Kaji Yuuki.
