If you Encounter Upload Fail and Error , Please Try the Following Methods First:

-Enabling flash player always for https://vatoto.com . Reinstall flash player if needed.

-Try the Lite Upload Chapter Version: https://vatoto.com/add_chapter_lite

  •    ^Gotta type in IDs manually. But it's now a very very simple HTML page with little to go wrong. All the drop downs (except language) is removed and the flash uploader is also removed.

-Try Remote Method

  • you can upload to other file sharing places like SendSpace, mediafire, google drive, dropbox, etc. and add a direct link to the page. Getting direct link with some are a bit tricky, so there are tools like this to assist as well: http://www.syncwithtech.org/p/direct-download-link-generator.html ( I[Grumpy] haven't used this site personally and can't vouch for it, just example of one)

-Try Different Browsers. see if it happens on only one or all.

Not Working? Please Post all infos about ur upload fail. Which one you use: Remote method or local File Upload?

Post ScreenShot in BBC[Spoiler] tag.

Same here. But only lately. Last week I could still upload now I can't (using Chrome).

Chrome Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) gets me an "Upload failed. Please make sure all the required fields are selected correctly." Error

54.0 (32-bit) works fine

I probably should do something about excessive duplicate threads about it :/

I have this problem both on Chrome and Internet Explorer. I haven't tried on other browsers yet. I tried a few times ~6 hrs ago, failed. I'm trying uploading now and it's still failed.

a few people in the past said that for them site traffic was affcting the occurence of this error (with it happening during heavy traffic and things being fine during low traffic periods), so this recent-ish issue could be the culprit for you

afaik there is a separate check during the group selection at least (i.e. the group choice seems to be confirmed when you select it as opposed to when you press the upload button at the bottom) so if your connection to the site gets lots of interrupts, it's quite plausible that the choice check gets interrupted a lot.

I'm back after I tried multiple times at different times since the last time I posted and it still won't work on chrome.
However I tried with Internet Explorer and it worked. I would prefer to use Chrome like I always did though, if there is a solution to it I'm willing to try. I've tried turning the flash player off as someone suggested in the other thread but alas.

It's affecting me too, with my group's Dagashi Kashi chapter ready for upload and all.

I have tried doing it in Firefox as well as Chrome, so it's definitely not Flash...

When's the DDOS attack gonna end? -.-

Same problem.  I notice one thing, though: when this happens, I don't get the usual broad bar for selecting a file to upload, with automatic filtering for ZIP and RAR files.  Rather I get a simple pushbutton and there is no automatic filter on file types.  When I see that, I know already that the upload isn't going to work.

UPDATE: Enabling flash player always for https://vatoto.com(as has been suggested elsewhere here) fixed things for me.

I reinstalled Flash player, and went to google chrome settings again to force enable flash on bato.to. That worked... even though it didn't last night.

I've create a light version of the add chapter page since it's rather buggy.

https://vatoto.com/add_chapter_lite

Gotta type in IDs manually. But it's now a very very simple HTML page with little to go wrong. All the drop downs (except language) is removed and the flash uploader is also removed.

It's a bit difficult for me to just fix it, because I don't really know what's the problem. I've never encountered it.

I've altered that page so that it further expanded that error message you guys are getting. Also, please let me know if you're using remote upload or local file upload.

I use local file upload.

Today I tried again and the error message changed:

Upload failed. No file has been uploaded. Neither local upload or remote upload has been selected. Please note that flash must be enabled for local upload. If you do not have flash or do not want to use flash, you can also use the light version of this add chapter at /add_chapter_lite

I tried to use the light version again but it doesn't work.

I don't know what to do..

When you're using the main add chapter one.

1. Do you see the flash file upload button? It should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/EhBIuyk.png If it looks different, it's not even loading.
2. Do you see the progress bar go up when you upload? It will go up from left to right as progress goes up.

The lite version will just have regular HTML file upload, so, it doesn't have a progress bar.

-------------

If all else fails, you can try to do a remote upload method. Upload to somewhere else and link it so that our server fetches from the other source. If you have your own place to upload, that would be best. If not, you can upload to other file sharing places like mediafire, google drive, dropbox, etc. and add a direct link to the page. Getting direct link with some are a bit tricky, so there are tools like this to assist as well: http://www.syncwithtech.org/p/direct-download-link-generator.html(I haven't used this site personally and can't vouch for it, just example of one)

It seems that the upload works now.

Before the upload button was different and there wasn't the progress bar, but now it's all fixed.

Thank you!
