hi all, just want to share this just in case it gets lost in the comments section

 

The author Xia Da posted this on her weibo account in november 2016 (i believe it is november if I looked at the date correctly and that was also the last time the manhua updated on u17): 《就到这里吧，我受够了。》

 

It sounds like this is going on indefinite hiatus when I google translated the title and comments people left on u17.

 

I don't' have a weibo account so I cant access the post so if someone wants to translate it for the rest of us, they can do that.

 

But I did find a tumblr post with a general explanation of what the weibo article/post says with screenshots of the weibo post.

Let me just say..darn publishing company. I hope Xia Da is still writing and will someday find a way to get it to us readers. There aren't that many chapters left. Only up to 61 so we only have 2 more =l

 

If there was any recent news from her about this too, I am not in the know so if others are, please share =)

So sad that it had to "end" like this. Since she hasn't said anything, she probably won't discontinue the work. Hope to see it update again sometime this year. =(

illness? Well Xia Da has the appearance of a frail woman (small petite frame) so I wouldn't put that past me but if anyone has a weibo and can read any updates from Xia Da, please share =)

Uhm, the series hasn't ended or anything, nor is Xia Da ill (what does her build have to do with that, anyway?), that was the pervious hiatus. According to Choukakou Translations, Xia Da apparently has been having major difficulties with her publisher and allowed her contract with them to expire without renewing it. There seems to have been some issue regarding copyrights and the publisher playing nasty games with the contract. Basically: the publisher started to mess around-> Xia Da became ill for a bit-> recovered but found that in her absence the publisher started to take further liberties-> present hiatus (that's my impression of it, anyway). That said, Xia Da is trying to sort through the legal stuff with her lawyer and return to the work as soon as possible; hopefully she'll be able to move the series to another publisher.
