I can't remember the title of this manga, hoping someone remembers it, it was little obscure. I read it a couple years ago (like at least 3+)

 

It involved what I believed was a traveling storyteller who played the violin(?). The first chapter involved a locked gate in the mountains and the girl of the chapter wondered what was behind the gate (with everyone around her telling her that it kept the monsters out or something to that effect). Then one day she goes up to gate, meets the traveling storyteller up there, on the other side of the gate. She thinks he's a monster that everyone has warned her about, but the storyteller tells her a different story... how the locked gate was meant keep the girl and her people in as prisoners from the rest of the world. 

 

Hoping it sounds familiar to someone. I would love to reread it. Pretty sure there were a couple more chapters before I lost track of it.

I don't know, or have heard, of a manga with that description. It sounds awesome, though. Please post the name if you ever find it on your own.

Sounds like Violinist of Hameln to me http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/hameln-no-violin-hiki-r3920, never heard of anything else about a traveling violinist keeping monster at bay.
