{Resolved} ERROR [10004] Can't load any manga

Best Answer goofydude, 26 February 2017 - 05:24 PM

I finally figured it out, I had an extension that I installed due to alot of sites having the new ads that redirects your browser and makes it a pain to get back to the original site.  Apparently it hid referral information besides redirects, so I just had to disable that for batotototo.

I had seen that on other posts but it was all for a firefox (or similar) setting which I knew I hadn't changed and couldn't even find the option for chrome.

Although it doesn't explain why it didnt work for IE... however it is IE which i suppose is explanation enough.

This started last night (or at least that's when I first noticed it). and I can't load any manga pages (not including main page with chapter list).  Nothing should have changed on my settings that I know of, and it doesn't work with IE either (I'm using chrome). Nothing but the error.

Windows 7 x64

Chrome (all updated)

I've tried old chapters and new chapters that came out after it first occurred.

not sure what other info could help or would be useful.

Edit: Problem still ocurring, I guess it's possible there is some kind of ban or something I got, but I don't really think I'm active enough to warrant one so I don't know what could be causing it.

Here's the thing it says exactly and my commentary.

ERROR [10004]: The thing you're looking for is unavailable. It may be due to:

  • You do not have sufficient permission. - Possibly it, don't know why I would have lost permission though.
  • It never existed. - For some reason I doubt am doing a manga version of Fight club and nothing ever existed.
  • It has been removed by the uploader.  - Too many don't work for this to be the case (all of them)
  • It has been removed by the moderator.  - See above
  • It has been removed for copyright reasons.  -See above (not to mention I'm the only one with a problem
  • Your browser is not supported.  - I can't imagine why chrome would no longer be supported, it is up to date too.
  • You came from the future and this chapter does not exist yet.  - Fairly certain it is not this
  • Last, but not least. Try refresh (F5). Could be server being overloaded, a bug, or bad cache.  - The other most likely reason, however this has been going on for a day and a half so I don't think the server would be overloaded that much, I deleted my cache, I can only think a bug, however it is apparent that I'm the only one.

Sorry to bring this thread up again, but I'd like to add the solution that worked for me in case it helps anyone else.

I use Firefox and had the same problem. After learning it was to do with referral information (thanks goofydude), I typed about:config into the address bar. This brings up all the hidden settings in firefox. Search for "Network.http.sendRefererHeader" click the setting that appears below. Change it to "2" if it's not that already and BAM! You now have instant daily dose of tomo-chan oh god how I missed you access to all the good stuff on this site again.
