I thought it was very odd that in the last chapter when Sumi could no longer transform anymore, Shizuka prohibits her from participating in the rescue mission because she was a girl...

I don't think gender really inhibits anyone from doing anything really. and I didn't like how the story strongly forces the idea that women are helpless, useless little creatures that need to be taken care of by men down your throat. the guy dictates what's best for the heroine based on her gender and heroine obeys until she is able to change her gender.
the message is women who don't have any agency will never get any, they just have to change their genders.

I've never really noticed anything like this before this chapter.... hmmm

anyway, that's how I felt about this chapter.
