Yes. I don't consider Alchemy and First Aid to be the same thing, so she can learn both at the same time. First Aid is just the non-magical equivalent of Protection Magic -- basically a doctor. While Alchemy is the creation of potions, poisons, stimulants, ect. Alchemy (or Chemist) is also one of the six jobs you can pick from (Warrior, Archer, Chemist, Merchant, Brawler and Ranger), so there's no overlap with First Aid.

 

Just a reminder: To become a Mage, you have to become a Chemist first.

 

Your characters can have up to 1 Job (Warrior, Archer, Chemist, Merchant, Brawler or Ranger), and 2 Professions (Armorsmith, Artificer, Chef, Huntsman, Jeweler, Tailor and Weaponsmith) at a time. Everything else (Farmer, Fisherman, Miner, Lumberjack, ect.) is a hobby, and hobbies don't have a ceiling.

Also im a sucker for crafting, so my professions and hobbies will definitely be of that sort. xD

Since Artificer deals with magical weaponry, does magical clothing like robes and such also fall under that profession? Armorsmith? Tailor? Wait, that's considered light armor so nvm.

 

Is there an npc that can teach the dumb gobbies how to read and write for hobbies, or just something one can pick up upon 'trying' to read and write after a certain amount of attempts?

Yes, but it depends on the hobby. Fishing for example, doesn't require that you find a master. You just go out there and try. With enchanting or blacksmithing however, you need someone to get you started.

You don't need professions to unlock your jobs. Most jobs have multiple ways to unlock them. A Chemist for example, can either eat magical plants, make/use magical weapons (Artificer), become an Enchanter, or wear light armor. All of those will either give you chemistry points or magical points, either of which will unlock the Chemist job for you.
 
Professions are only there to make sure you get the maximum amount of points for your job and rank-ups. Take Frisk for example, he's probably not going to get any combat points today because he's getting drunk in a bar. Which means his rank-up and job will both get pushed back by at least one day. But if he was someone's apprentice, then he would still get a task to go out and kill something -- if he choose to accept it.
 
Professions help round out your character so you have the freedom to goof off without doing something your character doesn't want to do. So like with becoming a Chemist, if you'd rather not eat plants and gather herbs all day, just make yourself a wand and go kill stuff. Or weave magic into your weapons and armor. Or wear light armor all day long.

The fastest way would be to go to Reck and learn from him. Otherwise, you'd have to become a mage first. Tailoring and Enchanting aren't tied together, so you can learn bother at the same time.

Gotcha, well, I'm in no hurry. Rend got other things to learn before she starts to dabble in enchanting. xD

Thanks, I wasn't planning to include Rend, since I knew that there was a time difference between our posts. But thanks for the guidance. I'll make a short post for you to set the meeting with Akta. Looking forward to meet the Gorgun.

I'll post an update tomorrow and try to sync Brix back up with Dar (with his next post). That way they can get back to hunting.

 

Once we reach Day 3, we'll all be adult goblins. Day 3 should also unlock most of the jobs for everyone. And introduce a new animal to hunt.

Looking at the numbers again, it's actually Day 4. You guys won't unlock your new jobs until the END of Day 3. =/

Doesn't matter, the idea stays the same. You wake up, have your job, and Fluffy sends you to your new instructor:
Warrior/Brawler = King
Archer/Ranger = New NPC
Chemist = Akta
Merchant = Salagheed
