Russian and some other languages disappeared from options when you add new chapters. What seems to be the problem?

Apparently something broke ~2 days ago and 7 languages can't be selected on add/edit chapter pages anymore. Grumpy's been notified about the problem and so we're currently waiting for his response. If a quick fix is not possible, we'll think of some temporary solution to let uploads in missing languages exist (please don't hijack other languages for now).

Yes, they just forget about us, because we are "russians". It`s normal for them to discriminate us.

Здесь такое, судя по всему, в порядке вещей. Я могу ошибаться, но если бы мы их донатили, проблему решили бы влет за день-два. В админах нет ни одного "русского", что говорит само за себя, хотя позиционируют они сайт как полинациональный.

If he does not find the time in the next day or two we'll implement something temporary.

P.S: I am also not sure why you think somebody is out to get you... I'm sorry you feel that way but it does not contribute anything towards a solution so please just refrain from making comments in that direction.

We feel that way because they make no announcements, they're not even trying to keep in touch. 

Серьёзно, осталось всего 13 языков, проблема касается не этнических проблем, а функционала сайта, а отношение такое, будто бы какой-то любитель создал сайт для удовлетворения собственного чувства важности, а теперь не хочет им заниматься. Что за детское отношение!?

Right now, we're talking not even about fix, we're discussing "temporary solution to let uploads in missing languages exist" and why all your support just abandoned this issue. You've even though about it only after someone started to complain. Not report about problem. but COMPLAIN!!!

Rough flow of events as I see/saw them:
- russian uploaders notice that their language (and/or other languages) is missing from the language choice list
- they decide to ignore the problem and upload as english without thinking about reporting the issue
- apparently around this time some "entitled" readers decide to complain directly to uploaders, also without reporting the issue
- someone reports a russian upload being marked as english
- you reply to that report mentioning the complains you received while still not seing anything wrong in hijacking other languages
- more reports about multiple russian-as-english uploads
- as I'm apparently the first staff member to notice/browse the reports, I do some tests to confirm that there's no way for neither uploaders nor staff members to mark chapters as russian (and notice that other languages are missing too), then reply to explain the situation (in case someone assumed that it's some sort of trolling or group stupidity) together with an evaluation on when the issue could've started (based on russian uploads being properly marked as russian the day before) and notify Grumpy (as you've probably noticed by now, grumpy = can fix such stuff, other admins/mods = can't fix)
- you complain that your group's (or country's, in case you exist as some sort of scanlation hivemind) releases should take priority over anything else and display a mindset that volunteer site moderators are omniscient and/or fully employed to supervise and maintain sites they mod for, together with catching any bugs or glitches before the user experiencing them notices something is wrong
- more reports and wtf complains about being discriminated/racism
- seeing as some uploaders are very impatient and prone to jumping to conclusions, I reply with more words and make an announcement to direct any users who cannot into finding their way to support/qa section (an exception to stop possible drama buildup and further mislabelling, as users are expected to check these subfora if they experience any issues with comics or the site).
- that's roughly 2 days so far, there's nothing new to say for a week (grumpy apparently had no time available to see what's wrong and/or do the fixing, don't know meself), plus I personally have been less active here because life reasons
- bump after around a week (no problem with it) and some more wth discrimination accusations

As always, no new updates => nothing new to be said => the last official reply/update on the situation is still pending or in progress (especially in case of issues normal staff members can do nothing about). In case of no reply at all there'd be a risk that a report might've been accidentally omitted.

Again, apologies if batoto has so far been the only place you used to release your scans and you have no alternative available for your followers, thus this issue hitting you harder than one would expect. Currently available temporary alternatives are still quite messy so we opted to wait a week or three before reaching for them and would like to avoid using them if possible (i.e. if a proper fix is coming soon). Complains about racism/discrimination/conspiracy theories/etc. are not helping with anything other than making us repeat to you more verbosely that you're not being ignored (me mentioning the obvious possibility of finding workarounds earlier was an attempt to stop the panic/rage mode among russian uploaders, not some sort of "I haven't realised a third of languages missing is a big problem, your well-thought arguments made me see the light" sudden idea).
 
Also, I'm sorry if this post came off as rude - pain makes me rather irritable. Consider it a personal reply of mine, not an official staff statement.

When we're starting to response, defending ourselves, youre saying we're wrong and fludding. Isn't it indicating your attitude? Isn't it discrimination? Can we get russian speaking admin pls?

Added by me: 3 weeks? Rly? Even week without any news was kinda painfull and childish. And it's not about only russian, it's about all the other languages, excluding 13 avaible. But the reason we're the most loud is audience being so rude to our nation. We're used to, realy, but why no actions from administration?

-мы сказали этому "кому-то", что на нас жалуются, но мы не видим ничего такого в том, чтобы заливать главы на "английском"
-ещё больше залитых "английских" глав
-он, как основной админ, заметил проблему и создал отдельный топик, указав, что мы не правы
-ещё больше жалоб на нас и обвинений в их сторону
-они сделали объявление и ссылку в разделе Announcements на этот топик
-после двух дней (потом признали, что неделю) без новостей мы снова начали жаловаться. Они не понимают почему, ведь отсутствие их активности = просто нет новостей. Говорят, ждите недели 3, что вы как дети после недели начали вайнить. Починить всё может только Грампси, а у него нет времени. Мы же не единственные, наша проблема не самая важная на сайте (ну да, мы уже поняли)

Наши придирки для них непонятны, мы слишком много жалуемся. Просит прощения, если был груб в этом посте. Внятных альтернатив пока нет. Это не официальный пост, а его личное мнение. 

Короче, фикса нет, но вы держитесь.

... so what I've said about reporting comments, I guess (there's also an option to report individual users through their profile pages, though linking to comic pages in that thread makes finding comments easier for mods). Flaming/personal attacks are against site's rules so if you point at where they are they'll be removed and users possibly warned apporpriately. Though note that they've most likely started complaining about russian releases being released as english ones - so they got angry at wrongly labelled releases and you got angry at them thinking it's some malicious deliberate action.

If you have a broken faucet, and you sit without cold water, what would you do? Find out what happened to your super, right? And if he didn`t open his door, or say wait and close the door in front of your face. Would you accept that? Excuse me, but this site lives only because of the translations of the translation teams. Because here publish releases. It`s has such a large audience and popularity thanks to that. More translaitors leaves - less interest to the site. It will go into oblivion because no one will care. And you're doing it, So the translators left... Oh, yeah. U have english! It`s okay, the site will be only for englishspeakers in the future
