Title Question.

 

I have some theories:

 

1.) All the maps are subjects of their mind. (something like inception)

 

2.) they have futuristic VR systems in an underground area where the team battle

 

3.) others?

Not sure if I am recalling correctly but wasn't this explained before?
That their is a huge underground basement like. An they construct the field using the Trion of the base.
Remember the room they fought the neighbor in where they had unlimited Trion

Most probably from defeated enemies. remember other neighbors attack to get trion from earth so most probabl border does same with both away missions and with enemy trion soldiers. If the series was a little darker i would say they were leeching slowly towns people trions but so far it didn't show that much grim approach in manga (in anime the fillers had something similarly close to this)

By utilization of the Trion, they are capable of creating bases and other forms of intercommunications with the subparticles, thus manipulation of the field.
Of course, with the advancing forms of technology, they are able to create boundaries, or BORDERS, to manipulate the Trion for their needs.
In example, the triggers, the computers, the Border Headquarters, including the training spaces.
With unlocking the knowledge of Trion, one is able to naturally utilize it as their will.
The Borders Headquarters is basically for research and development in learning about the Trion and how to utilize it.

 

But where does the trion of the base come from?

 
 Trion is usually housed within the the core of the individual, similar to a mana reserve, or chakra center, basically a catalyst of energy. 

Other than, it is also housed within different portions of the environment. 

With knowing how to manipulate the energy in the enviroment, they could utilize the Trion to build a base. Of course, it is on par with a different form of material that is commonly utilized in building other structures.
