Around a year or so now......like from around late last summer or so to now, mostly through the efforts of a very small number of scan groups (one or two main ones) that (I believe) do that and only that.......soft-core (borderline H) Korean webtoons.
Mmmmmmmmm......................................yeah, they're all pretty much garbage. To each their own and all, but I've never had much patience for those cross-over type stories myself. For me, they have too much sex to maintain hardly any semblance of a decent story, and the story is too weak to make up for the watered down, over-censored sex. If I want hentai I'll just go get some hentai

The two largest groups translating these webtoons, that I know of, are "Yo manga" and I believe "Hey manga" (though I can be wrong on the second one). What essentially happened is that they,as well as some other scanlators, started to release their scanlations (of erotic webtoons) on Batoto . I might very well be wrong on this, but that is how I remember it. It should also be noted that a good
When it comes to the quality of the webtoons I can attest to it not being particularly high. I've read a good deal of them, mostly to see how silly they get, and none of them really stood out to me. There is sex for the people who like that, and a good deal of cheating and NTR, however when it comes to actual plot and characters it is all rather forgettable. I don't know whether it is because the groups only release certain types of webtoons that fit their particular niche, or if stories about adultery are popular over in South Korea. I personally believe the former to be true, though who knows.
There are people out there that know more about it than me, so I hope they can answer your question in more detail. But otherwise it is just like svines85 said.

They like sex? Love boobs? Are just perverts? The world shall never know. Lol I honestly think that maybe they have been there just no groups have been open to releasing such things.
I have only read one korean H-webtoon though the Liliths Cord is fairly mysterious even though I Spoilers for "Liliths Cord": Ch.1-10

I believe they always there just on Korean sites. It's popular because the youth of Korea are sexually active compared to other countries. It's also a type of convenience because the pressure to study is so high that students wouldn't try to explore relationships but just check these erotic webtoons. It is also the increasing interest in Korean culture that has led to more translators.
Yeah, I've just assumed that they've been around (in the Korean market) for quite some time before having some of them brought to the fan-scanlated/English language audience's attention.........not that I'm any kind of expert, but I've seen at least a few of the (racy) ones showing as licensed/published by Lezhin going back for years.

Koreans webtoons are going down the same hell hole japanese manga went towards. Starts off nice with great stories in the early years then generic stories are created with hints of H. Because ya know, sex sells. I noticed at downfall of Korean webtoons in mid-2013. Every year its harder and harder to find a new good story....

I've noticed similar........though in my experience, it's more the shounen-esqe length/style so many have gone to in the last couple of years or so more so than any overt sex stuff.
When I first started reading the Naver/Daum webtoons (probably 2010/11 or so), the ones that went over 100 chapters were few and far between (hell, those that made it to that length were few and far between). And now that's nothing....... almost all of 'em seem like the typical shounen manga in that they're just going to go as long as they can, no matter what they have to do to the story to accomplish that end >_<

Koreans can't get into paneling well, partly because most manga are designed to be read vertically on cell phones. My friend used to link me to Korean ero manga and it was always the most boring normies trash with generic milfs. They need time to understand the allure of lolis.
Frankly, I don't like Korean manhwa. Every time I try to give them a chance the conservative, predictable "safe" stories turns me off. I've tried maybe 20 or 30 times to get I to it, and I have better chances of finding something I like when it's from Japan.
