[Callisto]

This is a role play inspired by Re:Monster with elements derived from several games such as Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Ark: Survival Evolved and The Forest. When your soul finds itself in the body of something not human, how will you strive to live? Carve out a peaceful life, destroy the world, or surpass God? The choice, is yours. Once, you were a human. Maybe you were a salary man, or a kid on a skateboard, or a third-grade English teacher. Either way, you're dead now. As quickly as your soul is placed into darkness, it is pulled back out. Light and sounds accelerate, and your eyes crack open for the first time, in a new body.

You're a Goblin.

Born in a small, remote tribe of Goblins in a forested island, lacking any knowledge of your geography, you are thrust into the world. While only a newborn, the instinct and basic abilities of your kind are ingrained into you. How to communicate, how to hunt, what you must do to survive, as well as inherent information to your new world. This is your life, this is your mind. The memories of your previous life, your previous world, they exist but merely as a hazy dream with the conclusion forgotten. With time, sufficient experience and growth will open the option for you to evolve from a goblin to a different branch of monster, but this will depend on your own ability.

Just one thing sets this new batch of Goblin juveniles, your clan, apart from the rest. A single facet of their souls, a single "skill" retained from their past life that they do not even know they had. Perhaps an affinity for a rare kind of magic, perhaps a propensity to lead, perhaps the knowledge of a language they don't recall learning. Will this mistake in the cycle of reincarnation lend them the power to break past their limits, or will they simply fall like wild beasts to the onslaught of the world?

[Unbelievably Majestic]

Patch

Name: Patch
 

Gender: Male

 

Level: 17

 

Appearance: Patch's skin colour is a muddy green, uneven with darker and lighter patches all over. One large darker spot over his right eye earned him his name. His eyes are a deep reddish-orange in colour. His ears are a little larger than your average goblins, with pointed tips. His finger nails are a deep brownish-red colour, though some of that may just be dried blood. For someone who has only been living for a few days there are a surprising number of small scars and healing cuts on his body from fights and falls and various scrapes.

Personality: Patch isn't very smart. In fact, most would be surprised to learn that the mighty Patch has any inner thoughts at all. He is ruled by emotion and instinct. If for half a second he feels like he might like to do something, he'll already be on his way to doing it. This makes him very unpredictable to those around him. What people do know is that he loves a fight, seems to have a never ending appetite for new foods, especially meat, and unless you want your neck bitten out, is not someone you should sneak up on when he's asleep.

Past Life History: In a past life, Patch was a coward. His name was Yan and he was homeless. He feared confrontation, especially of the physically violent variety. But as a dirty vagabond confrontation would often seek him out. Sometimes they would be those who enforce the law, moving him along with a cuff around the head. But usually it was in the form of those who enjoy to target the weak and unfortunate, trying to chase after some sick sense of superiority. So what could poor Yan do? Well. He got overly sensitive to all that went on around him. Paranoid that any shadow was an attacker. He wouldn't sleep, not intentionally, just five minutes here or there when his eyes wouldn't stay open. It wasn't enough. He still got found. Cornered. They liked how scared he was. They always came back. Keeping watch wasn't enough was it? He needed something else didn't he? Something sharper. Something knife-ier. Not to use. Not to use. But. To scare them away. He had a knife now. They would leave him now. Leave him alone. They wouldn't attack him. He'd scare them away. He was armed. Just like them. They wouldn't come back. They wouldn't. They wouldn't come close again. No. No. He was safe now. Safe. Something jolted him from a fitful sleep. His eyes snapped open and he came out swinging with a knife and a whimper. He caught a glimpse of fear in someones eyes. Anger in someone else's. The flash of a sword. Darkness.

Talents:

• Bare-handed Fighting - Patch seems to have been born into the world with a great love of, and gift for, unarmed combat. He fights in a brutal style, using his teeth and nails as much as his fists and feet.
• Senses - Patch's senses are very fine tuned. He can smell, hear, see, taste and feel better that your average goblin. This is where his love of food comes from. It's also why he's hard to sneak up on.

Skills: 

• Absorption - This allows its user to get the skill of other beings that they devour.
• Night Vision - Golbins are born with excellent night vision. Probably because they live in caves.
• Human Language [Posh English Gentleman] - The ability to converse in the human tongue.

Inventory: A spiffy new wooden Pipe, currently tucked behind an ear for convenience.

Name: Rei
Gender:Female
Level: 1

Appearance: You're a green-skinned, four foot tall, ugly piece of work. Being a female, however, you are entitled to a modest amount of hair, which makes you less ugly than your male counterpart, I guess. The hair color is black, by the way.

Personality:

Rei is a rather soft-spoken and shy individual. She's jumpy around people and/or creatures she's not familiar with, and tends to avoid conflicts whenever possible. When angered, however, everything seemed to be flipped upside down. She's fierce and relentless, and would not stop until her rage is justified. Such occurrences, however, are rare and far in between.

 
Past Life History:

Confined to a hospital bed since she was born due to severe birth defects that left her unable to walk and in constant pain, Rei had no recollection on ever braving the world outside her room. Her mother and father would rarely visit her, and when they did, they would often argue with each behind the hospital curtain, where, inadvertently, she could still hear them. They would yell at each other about how she cost too much money to look after and how she was a burden to them.

 

In the end, she died an early death without experiencing anything of the world; not even the love of her parents. Should she be reborn, her only wish is to be surrounded by people who loved her, and to be able to run freely on her two feet.

 

 

Talent:

+ Stealth: The manifestation of Rei's non-confrontational personality. She seems to be rather good at hiding her presence. Or maybe she's just an easily forgettable fellow. Who knows?

+ Speed: The one thing that made plain old Rei stands out against the crowds. You should see her bolt away from danger, and towards food! It's a wonder how she keeps her balance during those speedy, sharp turns too!

Appearance: You're a green-skinned, four foot tall, ugly piece of work. As such, this section is optional, but if you want to mention some distinguishing factors, feel free. I won't demand a properly full description though. Also, I don't usually say this, but I'd rather you don't put an image, considering everything. Don't worry though, with Evolutions, your appearance can drastically change.

 

Name: Jin

Gender: Male

Personality: To describe him, he's someone who keeps to himself. Describing him as an introvert would probably be spot on but it's not so much as him being shy, but the fact he rarely talks (unless he deems it important) or give anyone the slight indication of what he's thinking about leaves little evidence to suggest otherwise. That said, 'enigma' is probably a more fitting. He's 'loyal' and 'honest' to a certain extent but when his survival is at stake, he'll do whatever it takes to survive, even if it makes forsaking 'comrades' or his own kind.

Past Life History:

Who or what he was is not important but how this forgotten man lived, not like he could tell you about it anyways, nor we for that matter. No one cares anyways. Either way, what can definitely be said was that death always seemed to follow him wherever he went. From vague and hard to make out images that still exist within his mind, it can be assumed he lived on the streets or places of ill repute. Also basing off the images of his mind, it can also be assumed that he, or at least what one might guess was him, that he was always in the company of someone or something and there was always fighting.

 

Always beaten to an inch of his life with no weapon of any kind in his proximity, he took to picking up whatever he could find, no matter how insignificant the chosen weapon seemed to be, he always managed to make it seem like one with the way he fought. No matter how many times it looked like he was going to die, he always found the strength to survive and press on.

 

Level: 1

 

Job Class: Fisherman

Talent:

• Battle Instinct: Has a natural affinity towards battle, be it hand-to-hand or with a weapon, he knows how to defend himself. He's also able to wield any weapon with some degree of mastery (average, obviously being 'skilled' will require intense training but this will allow him to be Average/Above Average) that he picks up. Be it a rope, rock or a spear.
• Survivor: He's a natural born survivor and will resort to whatever he deems as the best option to survive. By choosing to remain and fight, he'll receive a temporary strength boost and by choosing to run when he deems it necessary, he'll receive a temporary speed boost. The boosts he receives is conditional based on the situation he faces, meaning, if he must meet certain conditions before receiving said boost.

Skills: Techniques and abilities that you will gain throughout the story.

• Absorption - A monster specific skill. This skill allows monsters to gain the skill(s) of the creatures they devour. The amount of skills gained in this process is limited to a 6 time usage. Choose your stolen abilities wisely. Uses will reset to 6 upon Ranking Up regardless of the amount you have used. (Remaining Uses: 6)
• Night Vision - Allows one to see more effectively at night and in the darkness.
• Waterborne's Knowledge - The user is bestowed a pool of information regarding seas and oceans along with the creatures that dwell in it. The information is gradually gained and expands over time.
• Human Language - The ability to converse in the human tongue.
• Swimming - One of the skills learned via The Fisherman job class. The ability to swim (and not drown) in the water.
• Sailing - One of the skills learned via The Fisherman job class.  The ability to to sail in a boat or ship in the water.

[Diabolical Rhapsody]

Mu

Name: Mu

Gender: Female

 

Level: 14

Appearance: Mu appears taller than anyone else and she also has a pale green skin with pitch black eyes. Her canines jut out of her jaw a little bit and the patch of scraggly mop that can be called hair are slightly on the lesser side. Her forehead is a bot big and all in all it looks like the face of someone freshly smashed into a rock. Very unappealing.

Personality: Mu is weird, with drool always rolling out of her maw because of her jaw. One can say that she is perennially hungry. She'll follow anyone as long as she thinks they are strong but she hardly thinks so that is no problem.

Past Life History: Not much is known about her past, her visions recall a place like gymnasium where she'd spend most of her time. She was rather buff in her earlier life, a decent layer of muscle covering her torso. Maybe she overdosed on something or maybe a stone was too heavy and she burst a vessel.

Talent: Strength: Maybe it's her height, or her general physique that seems to be packing a bit more muscle than others. But she is good at lifting and throwing things.

 

Bullet Arm: Her aim is pretty good and quick.
