Kubera RP- Upani's Quest
So I hear that you guys are bored because you no longer get updates from Author-nim, isn’t that right?
Well, don’t worry; I can share with you some amusing shenanigans I, Goddess Brahma, am watching on TV right now.
These events are happening in the universe I and my fellow Primeval Gods created. Unfortunately, I’m the only one left… Officially. But let’s not dwell on political struggles; let’s just watch. I’ll get you caught up on what you’ve missed.
Story:
This is a world of suras and gods locked in a very old conflict, with most humans taking the side of the gods, and cutting their ties to suras, using only divine magic.
Sagara, the current King of the Ananta Clan, had amassed her armies to attack Rindhallow, a human city of divine magic. Members of different clans of suras had come with her from the suras realm, where they had been forced to live after the Cataclysm, and they were joined by other suras who still lived in the human realm.
At the pinnacle of the the invasion/siege on Rindhallow, though, Sagara and the superior suras who worked directly under her had mysteriously vanished.
Nobody could remember those who had mysteriously disappeared. The sura armies dissipated, members having only the vaguest idea about why were around Rindhallow in that fateful night, with most of them not caring about what they were going to do.
The ones who cared, however, seeked to search for the superior suras that didn’t vanish with Sagara, to ask them about their purpose for being there.
Races:
Suras:
A type of creatures that have the power to turn into huge animalistic forms, although the stronger ranks have the most humanoid forms. They have an infinite lifespan, but they neither resurrect nor reincarnate upon death, even if their regeneration rate is pretty high. They are arranged into eight clans, each clan holding members with similar characteristics:
Ananta Clan: Snake-shaped suras, whose speciality is poison, respectively.
Garuda Clan: Bird-shaped suras, who also have strong eyesight.
Asura Clan: Insect-shaped suras, who are also the most numerous due to high reproduction rates.
Vritra Clan: Dragon-shaped suras. Emotionally numb, and exclusively male.
Gandharva Clan: They look like aquatic animals.
Kinnara Clan: They look like mammals with hooves.
Yaksha Clan: They look like other types of mammals.
Taraka Clan: They look like creepy ink blots with red eyes. No other suras clan can
stand them. Unlike other suras, they can cancel and seal magic and transcendentals.
The first suras weren’t born, but created in the beginning of the universe. Thus, suras bear a different rank depending on their generation. Those who possess a human form are considered extremely dangerous to humans, and referred to as “superior suras”.
Nastikas: The first generation of suras. They can speak, modify their human appearance to a certain extent, and used to change freely between suras and Human form, but after the cataclysm, they cannot take suras form in the human realm. The strongest suras by very, very far, although their power can vary wildly depending on the individual. The sura Kings can theoretically wipe the floor with all the fifth zen gods by themselves, but the weakest nastikas are weaker than some gods.
Rakshasas: Children of nastikas, and occasionally can be born from a nastika/rakshasa couple. They are born in human form and can take suras form at will all of their lives. Much weaker than nastikas, but still quite destructive. They cannot change their human appearances by will.
rakshasas go through five stages of growth: Born as babies in first stage, their growth stops around apparent ten years old and this marks second stage. Through their experiences, they should eventually develop to third stage, which is/correspondends with (human age of?) puberty, and fourth stage, which is considered adulthood for rakshasas.
There is one stage beyond that, which makes them look like young adults, but rakshasas who reach it are extremely rare.
Upanis: Children of rakshasas. They are born in sura form and remain inferior suras until third or fourth stage. Weaker than rakshasas, but more of them seem to reach fifth stage.
Mara: Children of upanis. They remain inferior suras until fifth stage, but due to the fact that they are pretty weak, Fifth Stage Mara are very rare.
