In this role play, you will be playing an amalgamation of you and someone else or an alteration of yourself. Normally it's a fandom character or something of your own imagination. This will be an adventure-based story and inspiration will be drawn from Yakushoku Distpiari - Gesellschaft Blume, The Rising of the Shield Hero, Rave Master and Black Clover, to name a few. Specifics regarding the plot will be worked out in the thread before everything officially starts.

 

 

Welcome to Fantasia! I'd like to inform you that you, have died. As sad as it may be, it’s unimportant how. Well, at least for the bigger picture, but I guess it is pretty important for you, eh? What can I say, tough luck? Better luck next time. But let’s not dawdle on depressing things! You have died and just as you were expecting a dark tunnel with a white light at the end, you are confronted with a peculiar message:
 

GAME OVER. RESTART IN ANOTHER WORLD?

 

The whole thing looked like it was taken from the video games you used to play, except for the question about restarting in another world. What's with that? Shouldn’t it say “restart at the last checkpoint”? Hm, I guess not. Right below the question, there were two options: [YES] and [NO].

Naturally, you're going to choose yes. Why? Because this story needs you to! How do you expect me to lead this story if you decide you're fine with being dead? Stay on the rails! I mean, on figurative rails, not real ones, because then you’ll probably just die again. Unless you're some sort of superhero. Which you may very well become in this new world we’re going.

Just as you press [YES], a new message replaces the previous ones.

PLEASE CREATE YOUR CHARACTER.

 

Now, what the hell does that mean?! Aren’t you already created? Your mom and dad worked hard at it too! Does this reincarnation system want to pick a fight with you!?! You are perfect the way you are, they said so at school! A special little snowflake!

Hm, but are you sure you're perfect? Maybe you wanted to be a little slimmer, a tad taller or you might be unhappy with your gender? Be honest, I won’t judge. Actually, I will, but I can promise you that I'll keep everything confidential. If I had lips, they would be sealed!

Here’s your chance to fulfill all of those fantasies, except the particularly weird and perverted ones. This isn't the place for those. Let us now dive in this fantasy world filled with magic, adventure and annoying anime tropes!

An explosion of colors suddenly appear around you. What was previously a pitch black void of death was now dyed in a cloudy combination of white and blue. The message telling you to create your character was gone and in it is place, some kind of form appeared before you. It took you only a quick glance to realize what it was.

Name: This one is simple. Write down the name by which you want to be known in this world. You can pick your Earth name, but that would be boring. Nobody likes boring people.
Gender: Are you a boy or a girl? Maybe neither? Or both? Hey, it’s a fantasy world, you can find all kinds of stuff.
Background: Tell us about yourself. What did you do in your Earthly life? How do you feel about your death? What are your plans for the future?

Race/Class: Hey, it’s a fantasy role-play, it just wouldn’t be right without class system! What, you don’t like class system? Filthy commie! Don’t worry too much: you make your own class and it has no actual influence on your development, its purpose is descriptive.

Abilities and Traits: This part gets a little tricky. Instead of choosing your abilities and whatnot, you shall simply give me a brief description of what you want. This would range from physical capabilities, talents, and skills. If you're not a fan of describing, you can simply give a theme and I'll give you a set that you can work with.
 

Equipment: You’re dead. You got nothing. Nothing! But you may acquire things on your journey around the world, so this field here is where you’ll list all weapons, armours and other such items in your possession.

 

Now that you've decided to [FINALIZE], you have officially made your character. Or, better say, remade yourself. Congratulations! Now, our journey can begin. Fasten your seat belts, because we are about to land! Reincarnation world, here we come!

Once again, light explodes and you get engulfed by a rainbow-colored whirlpool of energy. A sudden feeling of being launched downwards possesses you and the instinctive fear of falling forces you to scream. As you look bellow you the myriad of colors clear and an unfamiliar landscape began rapidly approaching you. Your eyes water from the speed, making you unable to properly inspect the features of the world around you. Not that you’d have enough composure to do it anyway, as your destination became clear: a gray, rocky mountainside. You show no signs of stopping as you draw closer and closer until finally you hit the mountain’s surface at full force, exploding from sheer force of the impact into a spectacle of gore...

That didn’t happen. Before you collided with the surface, either out of fear or something else, you lose your consciousness and darkness envelops your mind. What could possibly happen next?

Oh how much are abilities and do certain abilities cost more than others

And what are abilities? At rthey things like swordsmanship, lighting magic, I run really fast, I hit you really hard, you can't see me type stuff?

A single point would suffice for an ability. Stacking points on a single ability will make it a notch above the rest. I haven't worked out the specifics too much since I'm not expecting a handful of PVPs.

Regarding your question on what abilities are, all your examples are correct as long as they fit your character's Class.

Finished and up for review. Do you need an elaborate CS or will this do? I think a Lvl 1 Character won't have much story to tell. Especially a 12 yr old.

Background: Born with an Auto-immune disorder, Heidi's life was short and filled with multiple visit to hospital. Perhaps it was right to say that hospital was her one, stable home. She never had a happy childhood because sometimes she got so ill that she'd be admitted for more than a month. Needless to say though she had the unbound love and pity of her parents, but she had no friends. Before she could turn 13, she got so ill that she lost consciousness for the last time, only to slowly awaken in an unknown world with another shot at life. Maybe, things would go better this time.

Background:

Greetings everyone, my name is Kagami Shuu, a typical salaryman you can find on any parts of the world. A cog of the wheels of economy, a slave with black ties. I even came fully equipped with a set of deteriorating liver problems, which probably stems from the severe stress buildup, lack of sleep, alcohol and tobacco from being involuntarily dragged into after-work parties (which I cannot say no to, if I want to keep my social circle at work), and I dunno, probably contaminated water or something.

 

In any ways, I am a wreck. A zombie that's simply surviving instead of living. No children, no wife, no girlfriend; not even any real friends to share stories and hobbies with. Heck, probably if I die right here, right now, nobody would notice until somebody smelled something foul coming from my apartment. Before this gets too depressing, however, I do need to inform you that I am actually in no real threat of starvation or anything immediately life-threatening. Which means I'm still better off than like, half the population of the world. Gotta keep positive, right?

 

Well, anyway, one night in my very blessed, yet mundane life, I saw a rather attractive lady getting mugged. In an attempt to show off (who wouldn't, in a presence of a pretty member of opposite sex?), I ran after the perpetrator in an attempt to bring him to justice, and recover the lady's stolen belongings. I ran, and ran like my life depended on it, and managed to corner the thief in a desolate alleyway.

 

And then I got stabbed. Blood began pouring out from my guts as I stupidly wondered if this is how it feels to be a woman on their period.

 

And surely, the next thing I remembered, is answering a set of ridiculous questions, and waking up in the body of a smoking hot, sexy lady that's totally my type.

Class: Ranger
Race: Human - Will turn into a Yasha later on, which is a type of Nature Spirit with destructive tendencies. They are fast and agile, but in a crude, primal way as opposed to the graceful elven-kind.

Traits and Abilities:

In a stark contrast with her previous life as Kagami Shuu, Yume is a free-spirit. She relies on speed and mobility on both offense and defense front, and prefers short bow as her weapon of choice. When the enemy somehow gets too close, however, she is also capable of using her well-developed feet to deliver unexpectedly powerful, rapid kicks. In short, her strong point is her range versatility, and incredible agility. Her weakness would be her defense, and the lack of specialization as a long-ranged sharpshooter one would usually relate to archers. (Try googling acrobat class from Dragon Nest to get a better grasp on what I'm planning for her XD)

Y'know all those people who preached that you only live once, and thus you have to live it to the fullest? That there's no time to be wasted in front of a monitor spending hundreds of hours playing online games? That you should spend more time outside making some 'real' friends, build connections, be a successful and outstanding citizen, do stuffs that will go down the history books, rake up tons of riches, get married, build a happy family, boast to your kids and grand kids, etc? Those people?

 

Well they can go ahead and f*** themselves.

 

I mean, what do they know about dying? Have they ever died before? I don't think so. I mean, if I know dying could be this fun, I'd do it sooner. I would not waste so much time studying in college for a superficial degree to get a job where I slave around being paid in chicken feed, and get roasted left and right for spending whatever free time I had left playing games instead of 'doing something productive'. Why play a game, when you can live the game?

 

Well, anyway, closing speech time. I have died. My life was a prison, and my death hath released me. Now I'm free. Free to do whatever I want, the way I want! FREEDOM!!! (And I get to try living as a cute girl with model-like body too! How cool is that?)
