He should be trying to hunt and eat the rats. Some traps to kill them. He even caught one once but threw out its body, so stupid.

She is such a selfish princess. I mean she tries to a degree, but she seems blind to their circumstances "I can't live like this any more" ok, jump into the sea and die then?

Even before she arrived, notice how she didn't give a second thought to her female companions that were captured, and presumably raped and enslaved, if not killed after. She ran off and didn't look back. Granted a single women against three guys or whatever number would have it hard. But if she got her hands on some weapons and used element of surprise to take them out one by one, or sought help from some even somewhat decent people left, surely there must be someone, she could trade her body for their help.

Speaking of, I understand she doesn't exactly owe him sex for his help, but considering how inept and picky she is at everything, it sorta is the least she can do. Surely she has needs too and he's become rather rugged. Well not that he would jump to it because of his inexperience and kindness, though she could be considering it. But at the very least, don't make a big deal about him seeing a bit of your breasts. She could even give him a show, or just not be bothered by him seeing her nudity by accident much. It's not like he's been seeking her out to see her nude or touch her etc.

Why would "decent" guys help if they could just screw her anyways? If they survived until thrn they would have some weapons, and could kill her at a moments notice.

Chapter 29,

"I was kinda hoping you had a girl with you"

This should be a giant red flag. Any girl with him would likely have hooked up with him by now, so what use is a girl already claimed? Unless this guy would not care about what the guy or the girl wanted. I get it, he want's human companionship like mad, but still, use that brain boy, else how have you survived up to now? He should be extra careful, revealing as little as he can and carefully feeling the guy out. But clear this is not going to happen and the boy wont be at all suspicious till he either witnesses brutality from the guy, or actual backstabbing.

Also, he heard from the dead girl how bad things got, so he should already have a concept of being cautious of survivors.

Shouldn't he have tried to drive the car before lighting it up? For that matter, why not just light the ground on fire, since it's really the gas that is burning, the car could have been used as moderate shelter or something. Maybe there was stuff undiscovered inside the car.

Shouldn't he have swam back after the dog? Maybe he wouldn't find it, but he didn't even try. If he isn't going to swim after the dog, I don't see the point of waiting for it on shore or rubbing your scent as you go.

ch 63-64 is the quickest death after a meeting yet.

Reminds me of the quote: "Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times."

The father was one of the weak. If the father didn't do what he did,

Chapter 68, I am pretty sure  these guys are cannibals. They are all nervous because they fear becoming each others meals, and of course outsides that avoids becoming their meals can also become threats because, cannibals. And the boys reserve food for then to split when they get hungry again.

But if the boy doesn't know this already, why did he scream out murderers, killers?

Chapter 76

I don't understand what this conflict is about, why try to take the land itself when all they want is the food which he is willing to give?

I mean either they don't want to share with another two people.

Or they think they can farm the land better than him, which clearly they can't.

Here's the way it would have made much more sense to have gone.

"Give us your food."

"Sure, I will give you some food, in exchange, your strongest must help me work the land and you must harvest in a way that doesn't cause damage and reduce future crops."

"Agreed."

I don't get the fight at all, and I really don't get them giving him 3 days to comply.  If they wanted to avoid a conflict that bad, they should have just asked for food nicely.  I also don't get, once they started coming down sick, why they didn't surrender the battle and plead for food and water. that way they might have the strength to survive.

Also, with the worst flu outbreak ever,  the flu outbreak of 1918, a estimated 10% to 20% of those who were infected died. But in this comic, it seems like 1% of them survive or something.

Also, did it not occur to the pitcher guy that the MC might catch the sickness? He should not have allowed him to sleep in the house unless it was properly disinfected (like burning beding and remaking etc) and if some effort had been done, he shouldn't have caught the disease.

Chapter 82.

First rats, now dogs, imbuing everything with human level and type of thought process.  I admit, other creatures are smarter than we give them credit for much of the time, but on the other hand...

Like dogs expecting a pack leader to kill something (the MC, but to the dogs, food) that hurt them  when they attacked it (MC). To expect their leader to extract vengeance on their behalf against something they only see as food, and in a "fair" 1 on 1 fight... that does not seem like dog behavior at all. Dogs don't care about vengeance most of the time, someones friend, neutral or foe, and they act accordingly. And expecting leaders to prove themselves in a 1vrs1 fight, like I am going to test your loyalty now, also does not seem very dog like. And that bit about not fighting back because Shiro didn't feel qualified to be leader, that's a strange human like thinking you would not find in dogs and it would require a self control you would not find in most dogs.

Well the rats weren't given as much human like thought process, well beyond generic villain level. But while smart, I don't think are that smart.

What killed his father? I don't even remember it saying his father had died, and suddenly he's in front of a grave. I reread ch110 and didn't see it.

Well they do say that they would kill anyone who'd dig under the shrine. So I suppose that's the stories way of saying they murdered him.
