He is a minor that seems to be attracted to yura, if I not mistaken , he broke the taboo by fusing the lightning shikigami into his body in order to protect yura
(which is why his face is almost emotionless)

Yura likes the human side of Rikuo, Kana the Yokai one and Tsurara both. I wonder who understands Rikuo the best and has the biggest chances to end with him?

I'm all for Tsurara. I wasn't interested in other pairs in this manga, so I can't express my opinion on other one.

I have a question how does yokai blood mix? See if rikou was to have a child with a yokai say Tsurara the child born would be a mix of human, nurarihyon and yuki-onna so what fear would the child possess, a mix of powers or would the stronger blood manifest its self while supressing the other blood? If the blood mixes it would make for a intresting child.

Since this could cover romance since children are involved it seemed like the best place to ask and it means you can think about what the child of the couple your rooting for would be like, what sort of fear would they possess unless ofc your rooting for rikou falling for another human. This is also asuming the curse can be broken.

Good question!

It would probably differ from child to child.
For example, look at differences between Seimei and Rihan:
- both are half-youkai but Rihan lived for centuries while Seimei was supposed to have a human life-span
- Rihan inherited his father's powers as well as mother's while Seimei inherited no powers from mom and only got a lot of Fear he used with his Onmyou-jutsu (in other words, he is no fox)
It is possible that YoukaixYoukai rules also vary from kind to kind.

With that said, most Youkai seem to inherit abilities form only one parent. Shouei is like Hihi, Tsurara is like Setsura, etc. However, since we don't know who other parent was, it is possible that the youkai they mated with was a youkai similar to the known parent (Setsura might have had mated with an Ice Youkai... tough there are myths where they don't need a mate to reproduce and myths where they mate with humans and their daughters become Yuki Onna Youkai's (and in some all are human)).

If Rikuo and Tsurara had kids, my guess would be that it would depend on a gender: son would be a Nurarihyon and maybe have a good resistance to cold while the daughter would be a Yuki Onna.

NNM follows the Japan's legends right? We should ask to somebody that has made some researchs, maybe these casuistryes are explained in the storyes and legends of the youkai.

That is the problem: every myth has a different take on this. Just a Yuki Onna alone follows different rules from legend to legend.

You make a good point Both Rihan and Seime cover both sides of the scale, while both are half yokai half human the way their powers manifested themselves where very different the thing that got me is when Nurarihyon says that Rikous human side might not be a weakness and then when Giyuki also points out that while humans are weak their ability to adapt to a situation and change makes them very flexable and we have seen the results in Rikou Matoi and also his offensive fear are both abilities that nurarihyon can't attain because he doesn't have human flexablity. I would like to see the blood mix in away that embodies both parents so rather than having a yokai that is either nurarihyon or yukki-onna you would see both powers blend to create something new sorta like when rikou used Matoi on Kurotabo he still had all his abilities but he also could use Kurotabos fear aswell.

Now that i think about it i wonder why Nurarihyon and Yohime never had another child after Rihan took charge as the second head of the nura clan in each generation they have only had a single child when they could easily of had more Especially in Nurarihyon and Yohimes case they didn't have condoms back in those days ^^

As for Nurarihyon... I asked the same question on another forum. I also can't fathom why he had only one kid even tough Youhime was young when he married her (16 years old)... or maybe he had but Rikuo's uncle/aunt are waiting for a future arc to make a debut...

This seems intresting and totally possable afterall the subject was never really touched and if a second child was born there would be noplace within the nura clan since rihan was the second head so its totally possable they moved away. This is something else that bugged me but does nurarihyon have any other brothers sisters ect or would he be considered the very first yokai nurarihyon being newly born and as such the first of his clan. I think the chances of Nurarihyon having other siblings seems intresting and could well apear in later arcs somehow the more i think of nurarihyon having a second child the less i could see it happen otherwise there might have being atleast some hints especially because Rihan died and the clan began to weaken as a result.
