[The Illuminati]

The Tower of Ishido. A place of myth and legend. Of heroes, monsters and magic. A thousand years ago, the tower was a holy place of dedication and worship. But then it was defiled by man and cursed by gods. Today it serves now as just another dungeon for adventurers and thrill-seekers... Until recently, that is. A dark and foreboding cloud has descended over the land, covering the southern half of the kingdom in impenetrable darkness. The how's and why's are unknown, but what is known is that from the darkness monsters have emerged. They rape the land daily, taking lives and hope from the people of the kingdom.

The of the Tower of Ishido is an Asian inspired RPG, set in a kingdom on the brink of collapse. After weeks of constant skirmishes and the influx of refugees, a lone hero has sent out a call for help. Now adventurers from all around the world have flocked to Ishido in the name of wealth, glory and battle. As one of these adventurers, you will start the game in a tavern closest to the fighting. The tavern owner is a retired hero and you have come personally at his request to aid in the fighting. All players begin their adventure at level one. Your level determines how many monsters your character can kill per post. For example: a level four character can kill three 'hatchling' tier monsters per post. There are five monster tiers; Lords (most powerful), Champions, Elites, Veterans, and Hatchlings (least powerful).

Bio: Born to the hardy swamp tribe of demi-humans of Kroshtar, Markhala was born to the chief who expected a son from his fifteenth wife. Thinking of himself as cursed and incapable, he stepped down as chief but took the little girl with him on a world tour. Trained in the art of killing and surviving off the land she is a warrior who has the wits of a hunter and strength of an animal. Especially proficient in her father's two axes and stone staff.

I have completed. Thought a Level 1 won't have much to write about. Plus, I want to make a person with a badass attitude and not a OP character from the beginning

The idea is: 'this is something that my character has never faced before'. So even if she's level 50, she's still being challenged and won't get bored with the quest.

Less rules, more creative writing but balanced for everyone.

Nah I'm fine playing a newbie. It is more fun to write their trials and tribulations. Gives me a bit more to write about, now that I feel my touch is all but gone. I need a basic character if you could allow that.

I don't know, it suddenly deserted me. Can't come up with two decent lines now. Maybe its the deadbeat draining job or the fact that my time is sucked up in activities that I hardly enjoy that I have been far away from books and writing but I'm in a dump, I think.

@DR: Have you tried watching TV for inspiration? I also like reading fan-fiction once in awhile. Otherwise, I just start writing and let the pen do the work.

Age: 25

 

Gender : Male

 

Bio: Second son of the wealthy Blanc family, owners of massive vineyards and makers of the best wines in the Urvandel kingdom. While Devon's elder sister, Julia, was groomed to be successor to the vast riches of the family, Devon was sent off to military school in an attempt for the Blanc clan to gain an influential foothold in the military.

 

While Devon resented being used as a strategic pawn, he was more than happy to have a chance to prove himself. Despite the privileges his status afforded him, he decided to shun it, training and living in the same barracks as the other soldiers, eating the same food, or going hungry when there was none. They fought on the borders, fending off illegal traders and seeking out fugitives from the law; Devon eventually gained a reputation for his clever tactics, as well as his excitable boyish nature, earning him the nickname "Smiling Tiger". He fit in so well that they almost couldn't believe that he was related to his famous sister, who came by to visit on their official graduation.

 

Upon hearing news of the monstrous infestation that threatened the lands of Ishido, Devon immediately signed up to get a piece of the action. He is well-versed in the art of swordsmanship (particularly the longsword) and leadership, as any respectable officer of Urvandel should be.

@DR: Have you tried watching TV for inspiration? I also like reading fan-fiction once in awhile. Otherwise, I just start writing and let the pen do the work.

I watch shows but somehow I can't stand serious shows now and comedic ones that I watch are hardly any fuel for my pen to work. Plus, i dont have a trusted site to read fan fiction so I am deprived of that as well.

 

On a side note, I don't think I understand the level system. Can we be basic warriors or can we have varying levels within the same party? Like will each of us have a separate storyline like I do in EoD or is this more of a heterogeneous mix?

Let's call it a heroic level, instead just a character level. Your character's level and level progression I will leave up to you guys, but the heroic level will be lvl 1 for everyone. We'll start out as one, big group and you guys will determine the rest as you explore the world. With fewer people, I'd expect you guys to stick together.

OKay that works. So effectively a Lvl 1 newb is the same on the heroic scale as a Lvl 50 Tough guy. It makes for an interesting mix.
