I've been reading some manga and movies with the main plot of a killing battle royal game, and in my opinion this manga is flawed on that part.

1. Usually this kind of genre works because the players are forced to participate in the game without their consent, so some characters who actually don't want to kill will looks believable. They're usually the either the earliest or the last one to die since they tends to hide and not fighting back.

--> in Savanna Game they have the to option to either participating or not participating, so when a character who actually consented to the term "You have to kill" acts like they're forced to do so makes the character looks inconsistent or at worst looks dumb.

2. Civillian/non participant: usually this kind of game isolated the player from civillian/non-participant since it will create an unbelievable chaos. In other stories they avoid having to deal with civillian with either isolating them in deserted island or making a magical barrier to other dimension so the player can wreak havok as they please without civillian casualties.

--> In Savana Game they let loose thousands of murderers in public, a dragon spouting fire in a residential area and expecting the civilian to stay in their house. So basically you're screwed either participating or not, even though you're not participating you can probably killed by stray attacks.

3. Organizer: on the original Battle Royal movies the organizer is government, the same as Savanna Game, but there's signifigant differences. In Battle Royal it feels believable because they are portrayed as lunatics who wants to show the public what will happens to them if they're screwing up, even though it's screwed up at least they are having a purpose for their nation. And there are a lot of people who's opposing the government, in the end they're succeded in abolishing the controvertial law. Or they can actually go with the option of a third mysterious party organizer who works out of law, so it's believable since unknown party means they have unknown purpose to reveal in the end, and it's making the controversial "killing game" more believable since they're outside/avoiding the law/moral in the first place.

--> In Savanna Game they gives money to people who can kill the most? Destroying public facilities? Creating chaos all over the country? Possibly destroying the economy? Civillian just "Oh cool the government announced that there will be a killing game all across the country. Did you hear that? apparently by participating in the game we can kill peoples!" I don't want to live in that era if society just simply accepting killing game authorized by government without the slightest hint of opposition.

4. Tension: it's a game of killing, hunting or be hunted, the partipants supposed to be showing some tension and awareness of dangers lurking around. Anybody can die anytime, simple mistakes or unawareness will costs lives.

--> In Savanna Game everybody acts like it's a field trip, they doesn't have the slightest sense of danger. A dragon chasing your car while breathing fire? Let's stop and help some stranger, calmly and slowly. Eh? It can get my friends who I've known for years to die? So what, they got plot armor. Even the villains are chill, asks their enemy politely to get out of car and not attacking them even though they can win with an ambush. The MC fucking daze around and talks to his sword while enemy attacks. The girl thinks it's good idea to separate from her team mates without informing them first while knowing there are other participants around, she's asking to be attacked. The trio MC should've been the first to die, too bad the plot armor is too strong here.

5. Consistent damage: Stabbed with a knife will make you bleed, shot by gun in the head will kill you, fall from heights will either kill you or damage your body. If there's a level system, a lower leveled character should be receiving greater damage from an attack of a higher leveled character. Or at least use HP bar so audience know the damage to the characters.

--> In Savanna Game a character with level around 100 can deflect an attack from a dragon with level higher than 5000, even if it's the sword's skills then the sword is ridiculously OP item that can close the gap of 5000 level. Simply stabbed with a knife can kill other characters (mobs) which imply realistic damage, but when the fucking MC is almost die the author suddenly stated that freefall from a very high building won't kill him, I can believe it if the character have the ability to fly (shinsengumi) but the MC never shown to have any skill at all.

6. Plot armor: There should be thin plot armor with this kind of series, if a character screwed up they shoud take the consecuences, even if they're not dying they're usually sustain some damage. Don't pull some ass reason to bait a screwed up character every single time so that character is unschated.

--> In Savanna Game, the MC's won't die, guaranteed. No matter how stupid they are, the author will pull some forced reason to save the MCs. And they won't even got any damage at all, "This blood is the blood of enemy", ok I know you're cool dude those mobs won't even can scratch you at all.

Well actually this has becoming a good learning of what not to do in a battle royal genre. Though maybe it will become better in the later chapters, who knows?
