This manga isn't all the interesting anymore, I feel that good plot was sacrificed for length.

The author has been giving clues for so long that it's becoming very annoying It's become too obvious... and even if I get the wrong idea.. it's just taking too long.

On MangaInn.com they have gotten up to chapter 181 and I saw the raws for 182. If you haven't read up to chapter 181 I recommend it (even if it isn't on Batoto yet) because by that time the real story of the island is about to be revealed, and let's just say that after 182 people will still be saying this manga is not good anymore (to which I disagree). Anyway chapter 182 hasn't been released yet but again, it looks to be the climax of the plot. (Well I tried not to spoil anything)

I've read chapter 182, it says " Only three more chapters to the conclusion! " Is it the END ? or just the explanation about the island mystery ?

In response to your question Dante I do believe that in 3 chapters the manga will be over. Now, what will happen in those three chapters is anyone's guess but the only thing I really want to know is who that lord of hades guy really is. And, for the record I was thinking that

does anyone know if the manga ending so soon was brought about by the publishers or by the author himself

From what I saw looking around most people think it got cancelled (the publishers) but it could be the author himself . . . or, and this is a longshot here,

Because Sengoku touched Akagami while she was infected with the biological weapon thing some people believe that Sengoku's death will be the end of the manga

But, I really doubt that it would happen that way. It was most-likely the series was cancelled for whatever reason.

But, to contradict my own point, usually when a series is cancelled the author/s are told that they have around 4 more chapters and the way the author was leading it so far has been a lot longer than 4 chapters so who knows but I think I'm going with something like the spoiler above. Either way it was a good manga and I'll (probably) enjoy the ending

The solved the island, but they didn't solve how they got displaced from time. It was a good run even though the ending was lackluster.

I wasn't at all content with this ending, it felt like the author just got tired and just tried to end it quickly. Cliffhangers are always good, but a good author usually provides enough information so that the readers can narrow down the possible endings, should it have gone on, but not to an extend where there's only 3-4 possibilities. This manga left so many cliffhangers, that anything could've happened, it doesn't explain how Akira and his friends have somehow traveled into the future, it doesn't explain what drove his mother into actually creating this "Garden of Eden," it doesn't explain why there has been no sign of rescue, it doesn't even tell what happened to Hades and Sengoku's close friend that went crazy and had superhuman strength (forgot his name). Mariya also says the possibility that biological warfare must've been used, and that amoeba might've been revealed to the outside world, which is why there has been no sign of rescue? You mean a bunch of high schoolers rubbed salt on themselves and managed to survive, but the whole world couldn't? Really unthoughtful ending.

Did they really traveled to the future?, perhaps they are clones that somehow have their memories or even just a delusion from the late grandma sengoku.

As Potato Sprout mentioned there are so many loose ends that there is no way to know what really happened.

How does Hades know Akira?, if they traveled in time how did miina's grand father knew where they were going to land? and ... you know what, after reading the whole thing I cannot recommend this to anyone, better read bio-meat nectar or something.

This ending feels like the autor is telling its reader: "You know what, my manga was cancelled so fuck you and you will never know what really happend"

I saw that next "chapter" on Feb. the 15th but in the same page says that we'll be told when the next "work" comes out... ?¿?¿?¿ da fuk?

the ending just cements my belief that it's a manga version of lost

Here we have a good example of the Horror of being Axed.....
time to short to explain all the stuff.

it seems like the author using the 3 years skip to at least bring outcome a just a little bit more of a Happy ending.
by the looks of it, maybe the outcome would be much better if the ending wasn't a happy one.
