- The Non-sensical Adventures of Artur Ila & Co. -
The walls looked the same as usual, there was no breaks to the continuity that is this hallway. It was rather boring, with the only rush of adventures was when the two both fell down the rabbit hole and unto the second floor. Artur continued to examine the surroundings hoping that he would see something different from this bland scenery. Either there was nothing noticeable about these hallways or he is suffering from severe tunnel vision. Artur's unnamed companion was picking at his ear for sometime and it made Artur feel slightly off. Is there something irritating his ear? Did something get inside his ear during the fall? There was plenty of questions to be asked when he looked. The both of them felt a tad bit tense knowing that there are going to be stronger monsters on this floor and they are very unprepared for it. Deep breath in, and a deep breath out... the tension inside Artur slightly subsided.
His partner stopped walking for a moment and closed his eyes. Giving a deep breath in, it looked like he was also trying to keep himself calm and collected. Taking his sword, he twirled it fashionably around in a circle before skillfully slamming it inside his scabbard. This startled and amazed Artur for a moment, knowing that was pretty awesome of him. Then his partner opened his eyes and continued walking. Artur noticed that he fumbled a bit at the beginning, but shrugged that off. His partner turned his head around and glanced at Artur while digging into his ear once again.
"Dude," Artur spoke up, "is something wrong with your ear?"
That was when the stench of the room hit him. It was foul, it was putrid. Artur didn't even know what kind of scent it was, all he knew that it was horrifyingly bad.
"OH GO-"
"Ugh! Man what is that smell?" His partner asked.
"I'd be damned if I knew!" Artur replied while gagging a bit.
The two, reluctantly, walked forward. There was no going back now, it would be too tedious and dangerous to go back where they have came from. They walked up to an entrance to a large, dark cavernous room which the floor was covered some viscous and sticky fluid that hasn't even dried up yet. It was worse than an average teenage boy's room. The whole room was damp and silent, and it had this strange atmosphere that unsettled Artur. Meanwhile, he still couldn't pinpoint what kind of horrible smell it was, but it definitely smelled worse than rotting pie smear across a dead old person... if he even knew what a dead old person would've smelt like.
Suddenly, there was a strangle "tacking" noise behind Artur's ear. Like his partner, he started digging into his ear to find what the hell is making that annoying noise. It grew louder and louder until Artur turned around to see this horrifying skeletal-looking white creature that is the abomination of all things- a spider. This spider probably was behind them the whole time, and maybe Artur's partner could've been hearing this bugger for the longest time. It was pretty small, and knowing spiders and their hellish properties, there are probably more.
"It had to be spiders!" Artur grimaced when he looked at it. "Skeletal spiders!"
The nameless companion turned around at Artur and said while getting closer towards the ivory hellspawn,
"Since you took care of the dead-end, it looks it it's my turn. But if I look like I'm about to get me ass kicked, feel free to step in like a hero."
"Man, don't you have a sense of teamwork? Fine."
Artur took out his glaive in preparation if his friend is going to get his ass kicked. If he even showed a little amount of struggle, he was going to get in the fight.
His partner walked straight towards the spider with the hilt of his sword at hand. He looked pretty calm at the moment and with a sudden movement, he sprang forward while drawing his sword at the creature.
