To clarify and and to put an end to this topic. The manga creator and story illustrator of HOTD, Daisuke Sato and Shoji Sato (both brothers) is NOT dead but actually alive and very well. And for funzies, the director of the anime, Tetsuro Araki is also alive and very well. I hope this ends the discussion once and for all.

Also, a season 2 was indeed mentioned by the anime staff, but seeing how slow the manga is (because the Sato brothers are having different views where the manga is or will be going), I doubt the anime staff have any material to work on for a complete S2.. unless you guys don't mind filler episodes, which will suck.

They're not brothers. Or at the very least, that assumption hasn't been proven.

Regarding the series, Daisuke already made storyboards, the concern is on Shouji. The reason Shouji put hold HOTD is to concentrate on working monthly with Triage while researching on drawing high quality weaponry and vehicles. He noted during the AnimagiC convention that fans be patient and give him time to bring out the same high quality art. This is from an actual attendee of the AnimagiC convention in Bonn, Germany (July 27-29).

I also assume Fujimi Shobo is already planning its return since the announcement of a second season and after the interview with Shouji Sato. The problem is Triage's serialization and those two series affecting Shouji's quality.

His other series are kind of a disappointment though, HOTD is really his most popular one so he should be concentrating on that instead. -.-

HOTD will most likely return when the second season of the anime has been green-lit a date. That or either Triage end or go on hiatus.

It's as if you didn't even bothered to read the rest of the comments
