This is a truly awesome manga. The characters are ridiculous, it's utterly unrealistic, the plot goes nowhere--I don't care. It is so completely hilarious and all the unrealistic characters have such gorgeous panache. They're originals who step on the page and make it theirs--if you put them in a manga with a typical wimpy shoujo heroine or bland shoujo hero you'd forget those other people were even there.

So two things. First, in ch 113 Kyohei kisses Sunako and--wait for it--she doesn't lose consciousness, suppress the memory, or even have a really serious nosebleed event. She just gets mad and attacks, but it's kind of at the level they always fight. Quietly, this is really substantial progress even though it's not the focus of the chapter. Maybe even because it's not the focus of the chapter--I mean really, they kissed and that's not even what the chapter was about.

Second, I'm having a blast with this ch 114 old Oedo thing. I happen to be reading a serious manga in the same setting and period, so the contrast is hilarious.

The progress between Kyohei and Sunako is pretty slow and subtle but that's one of the things I love about this manga.

I’ve been reading this manga for a while now, and after reading, ‘wonderful nudism’ and seeing Kyohei embrace Sunako in his sleep while completely naky, my mind went blank, I was like, “Is this really happening?”. Could this, be called progress in their relationship? Also, I got to say that it bother me that, Takenaga seemed out of character. He seems to be the most level headed one in the group, but he didn’t mind going around with nothing on, and all this set up seemed to be an excuse for Sunako to get all of them in their birthday suits. I like this manga, but I hate it when the personality of a character is changed to accommodated to the plot of a chapter. I want Takenaga to stay Takenaga, there’s no need for another Ranmaru in the story.

Loved ch 128.  Maybe it's just that it's been so long between lately.  But, I mean, it was a simple chapter, reducing the conflict between her and the radiant creatures back to basic essence, and yet it brought something new:  A kind of synthesis, almost a resolution, where they were like "Even if we keep trying to make you a lady, we won't try to take the darkness from you (and we admit that we'd fail anyway)".  Plus it was still pretty funny--loved the bit where she cuts Kyohei and the classic result would be "she snaps out of it in shock at having hurt the guy" but instead it's "she breaks out of the fight mindset because she's going 'oh goody, blood!'"
