Does anyone know if the high speed crossbow design is realistic?

I've been searching the internet for something like that for some time, but the thing I always see is that increase in speed seriously lowers power. I know that there was a crossbow that used a hand crank like that, but it was cumbersome and definitely not that fast.

The design seems like it could work, but IMO definitely couldn't kill a bear. (Maybe if you completely covered it with bolts and waited it to bleed out...)

Any thoughts on this?

Well it seems the author just designed a simple lever system. While it would definitely decrease reloading time and not make reloading as cumbersome, I highly doubt she could reload that crossbow in that POSE or at that speed. If she wanted to reload faster, she would need to use more force, if she wanted to use less force (like for example, use a gear ratio and crank it a few more times instead of once), she would have to trade off reload speed. Given the situation in the manga and the design, I think it would be improbable for her to load two shots in such a short time with human strength alone.

To me it just seems like the author made up a cross between a regular crossbow and a Chinese repeating crossbow
