i'm also having this problem. Is there a fix for this that I can apply on my end? Or do I have to wait this out?

just fixed it.

-----------------

I have logs for all the errors that do come out btw. And all the current 10004 errors are browsers not behaving properly.

Hello! I hope this is the right place for posting my problem....

I wanna know if anyone else is also experiencing increase in image load times, i.e.the new reader is kinda, slow? (and help me too)

Takes a long time to load an image partially, after which it shows the potato image-you know, the one where you can try mashing it fruitlessly or try coming back or changing servers or try going to the forums(how I ended up here)

ah this one

Spoiler

BTW, it was as usual till Thursday and since then everything's been kinda, sluggish-slow on this site, even posting status took longer than usual, though it seems fine now.

Also, I use chrome and the CDN server . another thing is that I'm not able to change the servers, it reverts to Auto(sets to CDN) everytime I submit a new one-I'll need to relearn how to do this too :(

I've been trying to read the following since morning now, but didn't progress past pg-2, same goes for few others I've tried so it's not just this one!

http://vatoto.com/comic/_/comics/death-march-kara-hajimaru-isekai-kyousoukyoku-r14850

Any help plz?

EDIT: Ah, nvm! it seems to be going with the usual speed now..... something must've been wrong with my connection.

This chapter is on delay/hidden and that's why you see nothing, will be visible in ~2 hours.

Currently getting the issue shown here:

Spoiler

Usually I only get this from recently uploaded chapters when there's too many people trying to access it all at once and it'll go away after refreshing a few times.

Right now though I'm getting it for every chapter, not sure if it's happening to others as well.

try clearing your cache/cookies

works for me.

I almost always try that as the first thing. It didn't work though.

It started randomly working fine again like 10 minutes ago though, so whatever was up went away.

I'm having the same issue, and have already tried the clearing cache/cookies. Might be related to my connection being a mobile device, but... I have doubts that it's that.

Waiting's done nothing for me, too.

10004 happens when your browser is not behaving properly. Try disabling addons or use a different browser. It should work fine with firefox normally.

Connection issues are internal issues for us. It happens at a very low chance in general and higher probability when there's a heavy load.

Sometimes, you can't load to the next page by clicking the image. Reloading the current page usually solve the problem (can click on image).

If I change the page with the option bar, it doesn't load the page. However, the url changes and refreshing brings you the next page.

Using chrome as browser.

Thx.

When you say you can't load, do you mean:

  • Absolutely nothing happens.
  • You get a pink error message.
  • You get a connection cannot be established message

?

Can't navigate through the pages with the arrow keys anymore. Is that an intended change?

No that does work for me and should work for anybody else. Can you elaborate?

Does nothing happen at all if you use the arrow keys?

Well, the left/right arrow keys just don't work for me unless I refresh. Then it works one time before stopping again. Nothing happens when it's "broken".

I use firefox 41.0.2.

Edit: Also not using any addons. Launching in safe mode has the same issue.

I noticed this happening too in the event your internet connection isn't fully stable and it fails to load the image the first time.

For some reason, when I'm reading a chapter, if I switch to another tab and then go back to the reading, the arrow keys stop changing the page, and don't work until I reload the page.

I'm using firefox. And I think something similar also happened to me with the old reader.

I'm also seeing the special character problem mentioned by dcpei above. Also, Adblock Plus was showing, at one point, 260 ads blocked on one page. Not sure how one would fit that many ads on one batoto reader page.

Yes. the special character is a known bug at this moment.

The ad blocks... It's because the parent page hasn't changed. Just contents. So, the adblock's counter doesn't reset even though you keep viewing different things.
