Hello,

 

I am aware of the changes that Batoto immediately implement and I have seen the change log but it just makes the reader more unstable or unworkable and I think that those would put more people off.  Maybe.

 

Why do I persistently see this ? I have registered and I am long user of Batoto.  I clear  cache and cookie but I still see the problem however.

 

I use firefox and IE (as back up) browsers (shocking!  I refuse to use google chrome) for your info.

 

Any suggestion to resolve this issue? It is a bit annoying to keep refreshing or unable to read manga when it is like that.

Not sure if it's happening as a result of the change in the reader or if it's just me but with the new chapters of both Kingdom and Boku no Hero Academia, I get this screen when trying to load a new page. Refreshing the page helps load it but it gets annoying pretty quickly.

 

1. As you can see from the image, I am definitely logged in.

2. Since it was just uploaded, there's a chance some links haven't updated yet, but it definitely exists.

3. I can't see why a mod would remove these two now.

4. A domain has been registered for BnHA so there's a chance of a C&D but Kingdom has been around for a while and there's no reason to remove it now for copyright reasons.

5. My browser was supported until today morning.

6. I'm pretty sure I'm not from the future.

7. Refresh works 80% of the time.

 

BnHA refuses to load though and I gave up on Kingdom after refreshing for the third time on page 5.

Err, Sooo I was browsing the last Freezing chapter today, and after the third page the reader asked me to sign in... which i was already so i'm reporting it as a potential bug (I'm on the latest version of firefox btw)

The period of chapter instability seems to be longer than the usual hour now as I still got a few occasional "need to refresh" pages after 8 hours since the upload (that Freezing chapter). No idea if it's a byproduct of changing the reader and will go back to normal eventually or something that you should take a look at

Also, people seem to confuse the new default error message as "you need to register, it's private now" message?

Yeah. I think so. There's no members only implemented at all this moment. It's just default message.

 

It was super stable when in testing. Live is... not.

I got this too on the latest kingdom chapter, and images doens't load as fast either, let's say you move to the next page but notice something and want to go back, it takes a while to load the previous page (again), my guess is it's the combat crawling system thingy? Have also try to scan through the images, which is impossible since the delays is 1-2 sec for every pic and that error display more frequently.

Can't see a single chapter, old or new. I tried Ika Musume, Mahoutsukai no Yome, Aqua Planet, Yesterday wo Utatte and a few others.

 

Edit: In Firefox's config, changed network.http.sendRefererHeader to its default value and it now works again.

Ah. Going back is an optimization I haven't thought of. I should add that.

Strange. Image load times are faster than ever for me but I do notice a slight latency when loading a new chapter.

Older releases don't seem to have this issue. I read through 1-110 of Tomo-chan without having a single instance of the "Back from the future" error but with the two new releases in my list, I kept getting the message until I read them both completely.

You sure about this? I tried to read chapters that's been uploaded 12 hours+ ago without logging in, I get that error message on every chapter/series.

Hey I just like to let you know that anyone using https everwhere will have to turn off the add-on to read coz the browser doesn't like it when the site tries to load http stuff when the page is being viewed with https.

Confirmed that this is my problem. The new # links work in http but not https.

When attempting to read a chapter using the chapter link on the My Follows page, I get the following error.

ERROR [10004]: The thing you're looking for is unavailable. It may be due to:

    You do not have sufficient permission.
    It never existed.
    It has been removed by the uploader.
    It has been removed by the moderator.
    It has been removed for copyright reasons.
    Your browser is not supported.
    You came from the future and this chapter does not exist yet.
    Last, but not least. Try refresh (F5). Could be server being overloaded, a bug, or your bad cache.

This is on Firefox 41.0.2.  I restarted Firefox in safe mode/fresh profile without addons and the issue still persists.  If I go to the project's main page and click the chapter it works around 85% of the time for brand new chapters.

 

 

{edit:  And right after I post this, I see Grumpy has changed something that seems to have fixed it.  Even shows the chapter info in the title bar again.}

I'm getting the same problem as reported in the first post concerning pages not loading.  I get "Error 10004" and F5 refresh doesn't work. The first page of the chapter loads correctly, then the second returns the "pink page of death."  The same is true for "Netgame no Yome wa Onna no Ko ja nai to Omotta?," while "The Reincarnated One Doesn't Want to Cheat" loads correctly if I connect to the chapter through the manga's home page.  If I go through my follows list, however, I get the pink page again.

 

I hope I've stated the problem clearly and understandably.

The https issue should be solved now. But not sure how well https will work in terms of long run. B/c IPB is set to http for everything outside of core.

So... now we can't read anything without login in? everything goes to /readers blah blah blah.... wtf?!

now I finally try to make an account unwillingly (I'm too lazy for that)... and most of the new chapters turn into either blank page or 404 page not found... great~

currently using firefox 41.0.2 on default add-ons... it works before those /readers stuffs comes in.

If you hadn't noticed, the changes aren't done yet. There will be bugs. Patience.

There is no membership required to read. Sounds like a bug. Can you explain what you were doing?
