The downside: checked MF and saw that they got their greasy paws on it, as well :\

same should be done for all our future release
however it's only temporary so it'll be edited by Noez's staff sooner or later but when they'll do we'l just switch with the usual clean version and so making their "hard work" naught.

that's what we did for our recent release like Sun Ken Rock level 92, Sun Ken Rock Gaiden - Yumin level 1, Aiki chapter 86, Ore no Kanojo chapter 8
same should be done for all our future release
however it's only temporary so it'll be edited by Noez's staff sooner or later but when they'll do we'l just switch with the usual clean version and so making their "hard work" naught.
The method they used for Ore no Kanojo won't work on our release. .

well not like I know much about the actual animated .gif watermark efforts.
After reading this thread, I'm glad that there are still readers who are not stupid leechers, but understanding, supportive and patient enough to counter all the brainless arguments thrown out by the opposition. (If you do not know, I'm referring to PogOdiver)
If only leechers could spent more effort in trying to find out more about the situation about the scanlating community and NOEZ sites, the 'war' between the 2 parties, and be more appreciative of scanlation works that are released.
As far as I'm concerned, knowing Japanese or Korean or Chinese or any other language for that matter does not give anyone a right to scorn scanlators watermarking releases. As long as you read a scanlation, you do not deserve any right to demand ANYTHING at all from either the scanlation group or the mangaka. Simply because you have zero bargaining power.
Favorite Manga: Record of Fallen Vampire, Hayate the Combat Butler, Kekkaishi
Main reason: Akabara Strauss and plot/story flow, Tennousu Athena arc/Katsura Hinagiku, Kidoin Nura and story flow

So now I will say one thing, well maybe two things.
Make yours site clearer.
You can copy MF site style, their copy yours scanlations.
What I mean is that on yours website the names of mangas, and chapters are too big, and no one can see these small pictures. Do it like on MF. If the manga continues open book bye manga. If the manga ended, make a closed book. And the pictures can be in the descriptions. Also that line between name of manga, and the name of chapter is NOT NEEDED. Make the names smaller.
I will be sure to come and read manga on BATOTO.
This post is not meant to offend yours site, and anyone related to text in my post.
I really wrote 1 side long post, the site reloaded, it got deleted.

I used MF because it had a good forum - but im done over there. From now on I am only going to read at Batoto, Scanlators sites and check my manga at manga updates.
I don't think it is wrong with watermarks from the scanlators side. It has to bo done to get people to react.

A few weeks later I come across another watermarked page. Vaguely annoying. Decided to find out what all the fuss is about. Found this thread and a couple others, and after several pages of reading was directed to a link on some translator's site that *finally* explained what all the fuss was about regarding MangaFox. Ugly bit of business, and I can understand the concern, but certainly not much effort put into making it easy to find out about.
Ok, fine, I'll try using Batoto for a bit instead. Very glossy interface; they've obviously put a lot of work into it. Except that, while they've made it very *pretty*, they haven't made it terribly *useful* (at least for my usage patterns). There's too much focus on making it some sort of social site, or funneling everything to the forums. I don't care about that; I'm only here to read the manga. There are plenty of other forums to take up my time, and I've only ever had one manga ever be worth the time of having serious discussions about it over the course of its run (and that discussion was on a site that doesn't host any manga at all).
The front page is decently well done, but it completely lacks follow-through in the areas of bookmarks, update notifications, and ease of access to those areas. The Facebook-like 'Follow' option (only available from the manga's index page, and with no bookmarking mechanics for individual pages that I can find, either) seems mostly useless, and I've been completely unable to get any relevant update info working.
Obviously I can't speak to the conversion rate for readers due to the watermarks; I can only give my own impressions. And my impression is that the important parts of the site -- making it easy to track and read manga -- are lacking, to the point that I have no interest in staying here. If those features -do- exist, they're sufficiently obfuscated by a cumbersome UI that they might as well not.
It should not be that difficult to be better than MangaFox, but at the moment you're not (which is kinda sad). Once you reach that point, I'm sure you'll find many more people willing to convert over.
