Hello,

 

I've been reading Automata since it was first translated (well over a year ago), and just finished up re-reading the comic up to the end of Season 2. I know Kim Dazzi hasn't started on Season 4 yet, but Season 3 has finished. I also know Cave Scanlations has said that TappyToons has licensed Automata, but I haven't seen or heard anything about them in a while.

 

Does anyone know if there are English translations for Season 3 of Automata or if there is anyone who would be willing to translate it? (Understanding that it might be difficult due to it being licensed, but hey, there are groups like mangapirates out there >.<). If not, I guess I'll just have to wait.

Haha! TappyToon, what a scam that's turned out to be, right? What, like a year and a half ago they were supposedly starting up and still nothing?

 

I thought at the time it was foolish of anybody to believe some outfit (that didn't even exist yet) e-mailing them out of the blue and telling people to stop their scanlations because they'd supposedly licensed something. Oh well   >_<

Series was on hiatus for a bit, but it looks like the author's relaunching it (at some point in 2017) with an overhaul of the art and everything. I can't read Korean, so I don't know what their plans are for Season 4 (since it went on hiatus after Season 3). That aside, if Tappy Toon still holds the rights for officially publishing this in English, and/or Daum remains as copyright-nuke-happy as ever, don't expect anyone to pick it up.
