This is one of the things I tend to get annoyed at over shoujo manga (though, it's not the only offending genre):

 

> Girl and guy into major fight over something pretty big (e.g. the guy admitting he just plays around in this manga)

> Girl hears sad story of guy totally unrelated to the reason they fought

> OMG that thing I was super angry at earlier suddenly is no longer relevant!!

> They get back together

 

Of all the off-beat "logic" manga and anime throw at me, this is the one that pisses me off the most for some reason :/

Yeah that's true if you generalize it to its basic plot points but it's a story that found its originality through the little things that add up into a pretty good one shot. I too found the sob story a bit blase at first but in the end it was made relevant.

It's not the sob story itself that I have a problem with, it's the fact that the sob story (which has nothing to do with the reason she was mad at him) suddenly makes her not mad anymore. In real life, I doubt hearing something sad about a person you hate is going to make you run to them to comfort them.

I agree, it is a completely irrelevant and awfully awkward segway. It indirectly moved the story forward.

the second chapter is great tho = w =
