I'd be great if there was somewhere or anything at all that would notice me that "this manga won't be hosted here anymore" besides me having to check the manga only to find that out.
The thing is, when you follow a certain amount of mangas, you forget about them and you're only reminded of them when a new chapter comes out, and this happens specially for those mangas that don't have a set release date (like not weekly, etc).
Maybe a very easy and simple way would be to upload a "Chapter X - Manga removed" or something along those lines.

But having to check it every once in a while just to find out if maybe one of the manga you were following has been DMCA'd or something else is quite a pain, and most people won't look into it.
I believe the suggestion I gave about adding a "dropped chapter" is quite a simple and pratical one, considering that pretty much everyone who reads it on a regular basis will read it.

Stop being lazy . If you have the time to create a thread, you should be able to check that post at least weekly, not daily.
Or how I usually do it, is the hard way.
Go to Comic > Advance > Click No chapters
And then click on every comic that is either actually no chapter or is no longer available to read.
What you mean by dropped chapter? Like Dropped comic that no longer is available list?
