Bio: Born in the City of Armagh to a family of Merchants. Since she was a kid, she had a strong sense of Justice and an equally strong desire to help and protect those less fortunate. No matter the danger to herself, if she sees someone she's able to help, she wouldn't even think twice before rushing to their aid. It didn't matter how big the target was nor how strong they were, whether she was able to beat them or not, she'd charge in and break up the fight. Due to this nature, she got herself into a good many amount of fights. While many who hold a sense of justice are against fighting, she loves fights and other bouts of strength. Some say its a contradiction, she disagrees. What's wrong with a good fight? People spar all the time!

 

Suffice to say, ever since she was a child, she has been quite the tomboy and quite the leader. I guess you can say that she just has that 'aura' that attracts others to her, whether out of respect/admiration, looks or even both. Aside from her parents, she has a sister 7 years younger than herself, Faye. Well, technically speaking, they're not sisters, if you're technical about it, in a way that they don't share the same blood. Regardless, she views Faye as her little sister and cares for her greatly. As how they first met, it was 7 years ago when Deirdre was out traveling with her parents, Ailill and Morgana Domhnall. Being that they are merchants, they'd occasionally travel out to distant lands to find new wares or peddle their own. It was around when Dee first started traveling outside of Armagh with them, she had been wanting to go before but was unable to due to her parents strict rules regarding her education. In time, she was finally able to go with them and so they went.

 

One of the last stops on their journey was the Port village of Meath, a village that her parents have stopped by many times in the past that was near the border, a village went to once during his time journey. However, Just outside the village limits they were met by the screams and cries of fleeing people and the sounds of flame and destruction....and death. As her parents encountered someone they knew and asked for answers, Dee was already gone. With her natural sense to help kicking in, she headed towards the village. Come to find out that the village was attacked by a gang of Orcs and were slaughtering people left and right. Staying out of sight, Dee wandered through the village to the horrifying sight of blood and corpses everywhere the eye can see. And as she turned the corner, that's where she first seen her. The one that she'd come to know as 'Faye' was getting dragged who knows where by an Orc via her hair.

She was a small girl that couldn't be much older than 6 or so. Maybe 7 or 8, who knows, but either way she needed to be saved but the question was, how? He was an Orc and their monstrous in height and strength and she, while strong as a female human, was a mere fly to this beast. Luckily he was alone, but she still needed to figure out a way to stop him. But it got much easier when she realized that the Orc was drunk! When she was following them, she found a rope and with their being quite a few rocks, she had a plan. She'd set up a trap near the port, come back, pelt him with rocks, get him mad and lure to the port and into said trap, girl saved. Well, she managed to set the trap, throw the rocks and separate him and the girl but she vastly under estimated the weight and strength of an Orc. She never met one before, so how would she know that that little rope would snap so easily and that it wasn't able to trip him? Nor would the all the loose logs she released, from the holder near the port in, that, instead of falling and finding his way into the water, he simply just stomped on them? Or the mud and other things she placed in the way didn't get him stuck?

 

Well, none of it worked. She did managed to get him on the dock, though. Luckily for her, he decided against simply killing her outright and opted for the 'put her through a lot of pain and kill her slowly' method, if you can call it lucky. In this case it was, as he was toying with her and beating her into pudding, the area he was standing on gave out and he fell through. Apparently a lot of the boards on the dock were all rotted and haven't been changed out, either because of money concerns or the fact that nobody wanted to it. Sadly, he was too tall and not all of his body was submerged, his upper chest remained out of the water. As he grabbed her legs and he began to drag her in. The girl, Faye, for some reason followed them to the dock and threw to her a shovel. Well, not exactly 'threw' more like labored to lift it higher and managed to 'throw' it a few inches. Well, it didn't matter because it seemed she managed to recruit an older kid who was able to pick up and throw it. IT was more like 'wing' the shovel, frighteningly enough. Luckily the slung shovel did not behead her or cut off a limb or whatever en route to dee, so that was cool. Shovel in hand, she began smashing it into the Orc's head trying to get it to let go. For awhile it didn't seem to be doing anything but finally the orc got dizzy and sank into the water. Given how twisted the shovel came to be and how long the ordeal was, she forgot how drunk the orc was so she found it odd for awhile that a simple shovel smashing would take down a frickin' orc.

 

Long story incredibly short, she managed to topple the orc thanks to some outrageous luck. But she didn't care how and was glad it was over with. However, soon after the victory and checking up on the girls status (despite her own battered body), loud noises were heard from the distance that was closing in on them. Apparently their scuffle was heard and attracted the attention of the other Orcs. Luckily it was night out and they weren't seen. After hauling ass and hiding out in a hiding spot her and the older kid (a boy around her age) knew about, until the nearby Orcs moved on. After a few days, they finally met up with Dee's parents (and a few other survivors), who while furious and upset (and determined to punish Dee but gave up on it when they looked at her condition) and eventually, after returning to Armagh, decided to take care of Faye, and 'raised' her as one of their own. Well, Faye held onto her last name for her own reasons. The whole ordeal with the Orc got Dee to seriously think of her future and with the need to get stronger, decided to become a knight! Well, the process was made shorter when word gotten out over her taking down an orc (thanks to a little someone blabbing about it) and well, she found her way to becoming a knight.

Bio: Known to be quite the enigma among the Umbron, there is hardly anything substantial regarding her upbringing, giving birth to various rumors. The fact that she rarely talks, unless she feels the need, as well as keeping to herself most of the time, doesn't help at all. One of the rumors was that she was the child to a pair of elves that abandoned her in order to explore the outside world. But given that her weapons are keepsakes, it's unlikely that rumor is true. Another was that her parents were murdered before her eyes by an unknown race while out wandering. The one thing that is known for a fact, is that she was taken in by an elder and eventually made her way through the academy.

 

In her last 2 years in the Military Academy, she was sent as part of the exchange program of the 3rd Elven-Gorgii Treaty, where she trained under the great Gorgii Battlemage, Norn'heim Blazewind, who is also one of the 7 bearers of the 'Claw Of The Dragon'. There are very few things that are able to shake and rattle her calm, and the Gorgii's are one of them. No matter how strong or calm one might claim to be, the sight of one, let alone a clan of them, is enough to make your heart drop.

 

Upon graduation, she was assigned to the illustrious 'Venomfang' combat unit, and along with several others, given the role as a 'Protector' of the jungles western perimeter, a role she takes great pride in.

Water Wall - A defensive spell that creates a wall of water around from Alphard's mouth. The water is blown out in the form of a circle, making it a defense without openings. Since the field of vision is maintained even while defending, it allows her to easily go onto the next move. Roll Dependent, Base Defense 400 Magical/200 Physical

 

Earth Magic: +11

Chains Of The Earth  - A Defensive/Support Spell that creates 'chains' from the terrain, as long as the foundation is made from the earth, to 'bind' the opponent. Roll dependent, a +1 and +2 guarentees a bonus action in the same post while a +3 means the opponent loses -50 and +4 -150 + 1 bonus strike.

Ground Collapse - An Defensive/Support spell that collapses the ground below the enemies feat, effective when used against multiple opponents to scattering them and cutting off their retreat. It can be used as an offensive spell.

Gaia's Will - A Support spell that coats Alphard's body in a temporarily suit of armor made of rock, increases her defense by 50 and lasts for 5 Posts.

Deadly Pollen - A offensive plant-style earth spell in which she summons a bunch of Flytraps which shoots poisonous needles at her opponents.

Bio: Okay, you see, there's something you should understand about Elves. So, amongst my people it's rare that someone ever actually leaves home. I mean sure, some of us Umbrons will happily go and venture out into the world for a while. Sometimes it's a challenge to us, something to tell tales about around the campfire and brag of our bravery. Sometimes it's simply following orders, being sent out to scout around and generally get a little peep at what the hell's going on out in the rest of the world. But they always return and settle down. Always. At least in my experience.

 

So it was always seen as weird that, for me, leaving was just something I always wanted to do. Not forever, not like some sort of self-imposed exile, I'd return to visit for sure, but maybe I'd actually live elsewhere, somewhere nice. Or maybe I wouldn't have a home really, I'd just follow the breeze and see what happens. But just staying in the forest was never my plan.

 

Granted, back home there was plenty for a young Elf to do, it was a nice place to grow up. But as you could guess, that's all it was to me, a nice place to grow up. But not, as it is for many Elves, a nice place to remain forever and ever until the day we all die. Especially the Luxons, walking down a dirty path is almost too much adventure for them. Anyway, back home my lifelong goal of travelling out into the world in search of danger and excitement generally made me the weird one. A fact I could never quite believe, that I was the one being weird. Because the idea of never leaving a place ever in your entire life, not even for a quick visit out of curiosity, is definitely sane. I mean, sure, we're technically 'in hiding' and all that crap. But it still boggles my mind that we haven't all gone crazy with boredom.
 
Anyway, when the tensions started rising higher and opinions turned more and more sour towards us Elves I volunteered to go and have a little look around in the outside world. Totally out of the kindness of my heart. All for the good of the people. I'm a true martyr, I know. Aww, no, no, come on don't cry. It's hard to hear I know, but I'll scrape on by I promise. I'll manage.
 
Anyway, I got permission from the big guys and got the hell out of there. Best choice I ever made. It's much more interesting being out in the real world.

And then there is the secret place. Broken place. Brutal place. Holy place. Bleeding rocks and rain of dry and black. Where god of death touched the earth and made it weep tears of hot and red. Where first Chained One was forged under her gaze. The one whose name I took. I took it from the place where the strongest must tread and all must return one day. Only strongest leave. Only the Chained. Only those who feel flames rage and watch over them carefully. Not extinguish it. Not let them devour until they burn themselves out.
 
Before journey to sacred blood rocks, I had no name. I had no marks. I was in training. First the fight pits. The fields of rage. Where Ork becomes beast. Where mind becomes savage. Where you must kill for food. Or kill for fun. Or kill for looking at me with eyes. Kill for you not being dead already. This is where fire is made. Battle fire. The inside fire. Fire of the heart. Only two places to go after fight pits. You go to the fire pits if you were weak. Blood pits for the strong, for those who live. Blood pits for me. Fire pits for many. In blood pits the fire you earned is chained. In blood pits you learn control of it. You chain it. Is like trying to put wool leash on angry dragon. Fire all you knew before. Fire all they gave you. Fire all they wanted, and all you needed. Now they tell you not to burn. Not easy. Many cannot. Many run out of chances. Then they go fire pits. Much time in blood pits. Blood pits about self control. Many bleed themselves in attempt. Many bleed teacher. Many causes of blood in blood pits. This is where the name comes from. But not allowed to be fire unless told. Not allowed to remove the chains fully. Always must control. Always must chain. Chain the fire. Chain the rage. Chain the strength.
 
Final learning is for after blood pits. Is to always burn. Always the rage. Never stop. But never let it loose. Taught to keep fire in pit and not burn forest down. If always there is fire. Then always there is warmth. Always there is strength. Constant rage. Constant fire. Chained. Waiting to be free. Hungry beast fights hardest. Long awaited food tastes best. The built up rage is most dangerous when released. Always the flame. Always the fury. Always the strongest.
 
To leave the clan you must be priest. Chained priest. Priest of death god. Priest of blood god. To become priest you must journey to god. Journey to death. Journey to bleeding rocks. Must enter bleeding rocks. Must face gates of death and fire. Must enter. Inside are the names. The markings. Carved by the First Chained. Carved by sacred hands. The blood of rocks and fire keeps carvings hot. So hot it burns skin. When you cant go further any more you burn markings of deepest name on skin and leave. I passed many who failed on my way in. Many who died where rocks bleed. I carried on. Further and further. Deeper and deeper. Names became rarer. Names became more sacred. The rocks bleed more. Fire becomes hotter. Skin becomes pain. Ork finds name. Ork becomes name. In heart of bleeding rocks I become Rand. Name of First Chained. Only one other Rand alive. My teacher. He chose me from fight pits. He is very strong. One day I be so strong. One day I train new Rand too.
 
After I come back from bleeding rock. With markings burned on head. I became priest. I am told name. I am made Rand. And I leave the clan to spread my fire. Spread my rage. Spread my strength. Out to feed the mother of blood. Out to send warriors to mother death.

Ahh, Faye. Yes, yes of course I do remember that little girl that got adopted to our House of Domhnall around ten or eleven years ago. That girl was really as dirty as a rat when she first entered this mansion. Honestly, I had no idea why the Master agreed to take her in at that time. Though, if you ask me now, I'd say she brought nothing but pride and joy the House. She complimented our young Lady Dee very well.

 

You see, Faye was taken into the house after an incident in the port city of Meath. From what I heard, her entire family were killed by Orc Marauders. Milady Dee saw her being taken away as a loot of war by the orcs, and decided to save her. One thing and another happened and the two of them bonded as if they were real sisters. Upon returning to the mansion, they were almost literally inseparable. Lady Dee simply refuses to leave the dirty rat's side. It was a real headache for us servants at that time.

 

I am not going to even try and hide it, us servants were terribly jealous of her position in the House at first. She was of a lowborn, like the rest of us, but she gained the favor of the Lady, and later on the Master and the Mistress as well. Lord knows how many maids tried to mess with her food and drink, such as adding salt to her tea instead of sugar, or sour cream instead of fresh milk, among other pranks. Girls surprises me with their cruelty at times, I swear.

 

How Faye reacted to it, however, surprises me even more. "I'm sorry to bother you," she would say innocently as she approached the maids that obviously pulled the prank on her. "I know you put a lot of effort on preparing this tea. Unfortunately, I prefer my tea black, for it allows me to enjoy the fragrant leaves you have prepared more. Therefore, may I ask that you leave the sugar and the milk out next time?" she would say, hiding the fact that it would be easy for her to point out that it was salt that they were adding, and therefore giving the maids a chance to save their face in front of Milady Dee.

 

Truly, her heart was that of gold. The name 'Aurelius' that Milady gave her so that she sounds more fitting for a renowned House really mirrored her personality. Never once did I hear or see her wishing ill to those who pulled pranks on her. I asked her this once, "Why would you not resent those who hate you? Nobody would ever blame you even if you do," and guess how did she answer me?

 

"I do believe that it is natural to envy others' fortune, and to gloat over others' misfortune. I would probably hate myself too, if I were in the maids' position. What would be the point? Will they treat me nicely if I had hated them?" was her answer.

 

"But don't you ever feel bitter about what they did? Are you not mad that they're trying to make your life miserable?" I then demanded, half-frustrated by the girl's naivete.

 

"... No. Because I've experienced what true misery is," she then answered, a bitter smile forming in her face.

 

It was then that I realized. Even now the girl still misses her dead families. Even after the years of living in luxury, she had not forgotten the tragedy that befalls her that day. That is why she desperately clings to her original last name, despite being offered a proper place in the House of Domhnall on several occasions. That was why Milady Dee could not leave her alone, for she knew that Faye would crumble without her as a pillar of mental support.

 

I do believe that was the first time I accepted her as a Lady worthy of our house. It was then that I truly stopped questioning the Master's decision to adopt the little girl. It was then that I started respecting her, not only as a master to be served, but as a human being. It would not be hard for her to use her tragic past to make people pity her, to be nice to her. Instead, she decided to swallow it all and made it a drive for her to become a better person.

 

So, how is she now? It's been almost a year since she left for the Knight's Academy, hasn't it? Has she graduated yet?

It is the story of Prince Yada, the jewel of the sea…

 

We begin the story with the song of whales, the sign of royal birth. The three sons of King Garou have finally hatched, Bheema, Maara and of course Yada. The king holds a magnificent feast in the city in celebration of this happy occasion. A feast rages for seven days and seven nights.

The kings son grow, they grow wonderfully. Each son begins to show greatness in his own way and it pleases the king so.  Bheema, he is the strongest and has the strongest will, the first born and next king. Yet he is cursed with naiveté.  Maara, he has the fastest mind and a strong affinity with the arcane. Yet he suffers from a raging ambition. Finally, we have beautiful Yada, mischievous and wise. He is adored but no one cares or his words.

 

As the brothers grow, they begin to thirst for adventure, much to the agony of the royal guard. It is often they escape from the palace and explore the coral forest at the mouth of the abyss. On one such day, we begin the next act of our story…

The three brothers walk casually through the corals of the Gaola forest, they chatter amongst themselves.

 

“The forest doesn’t offer us any challenge these days, I am already bored” says Bheema.

 

“Perhaps it is not the forest but only that we have grown stronger,” says Maara with a chuckle.

 

“Ha ha that may be so, but I’d like you to tell father that” says Yada, but then the spark of mischief strikes his mind.

 

“But there is one thing we haven’t yet done in the forest, something that is often forbidden to us. The mouth of the abyss. I for one have always

wanted to see what this abyss is” says Yada.

 

His brothers frown, at his suggestion. The abyss is something of a taboo subject among the denizens of Dwarak.  But Yada has cunningly chosen his words, touching upon Bheema’s bravery and Maara’s curiosity.

 

“It is rare, but it seems that little brother has come up with good idea,” said Bheema.

 

“Well although I would usually refuse, even I am curious about this thing,” grumbled Maara

 

“Good then, onwards brothers” says Yada

 

They do not tarry and make way towards the abyss, it is a fair distance away and they must evade the royal guard. By the time the boys make it to the edge, their sea horses are flat on the ground from exhaustion.

 

The mouth of the abyss, it is a huge thing, and the abyss, the Patala, even more so. All of Dwarak is merely a cliff along its edge. A darkness expands out everywhere overwhelming ones field of vision.

 

However, that is not all, as the brothers peer over its edge, the see something in the darkness. They begin to notice that it is not uniform, like silhouette of ink, the see shapes move within it. Then they begin to fear, fear of the dark, of the unknown. They then notice something moving a dot of light, rising, moving, and pulling the shadows with it. They quickly pull back, their hearts trembling, their legs quaking

For a moment, they are silent.

 

“I..I think it is time w..we went back” says Maara. Both his brothers nod in unison. As they gather themselves and finally stand, all of a sudden everything goes red. A blood red light bathes across the area, blinding them for a moment. Then it is gone, in its place is a red gem. A perfect sphere the width of a thumbnail.

 

The gem gently floats down in front of the brothers. While Bheema and Yada feel a sense of revulsion towards the gem, Maara feels wonder. He edges forward and picks it up. The gem reacts to his touch, and then with another flash of red light it attaches itself to his forehead. Maara immediately falls unconscious.

 

Afraid, Bheema and Yada take their brother back to the castle. They call the royal doctor, explaining to him that their brother suddenly fell unconscious. They fear that if they say the truth, their brother may suffer the wrath of the king.

 

“Uuu… What happened?” says Maara as he wakes up from his slumber. His brothers only sigh with relief.

“Hah, well there is that saying about too much curiosity and catfish,” says Yada, a smile back on his face.

 

With this, the brothers return to their daily lives. However, this day’s even will come to haunt them in the future. As the brothers grow older, they begin separating, each beginning to walk his own path. Bheema begins to train diligently as a warrior and for his position as future king. Maar starts to study hard and deep into the arcane. Yada, is as always a free spirit moving from one thing to another based on his whims.

 

However not all is well, as the brother’s reach their sixteenth birthday, Maara and Bheema begin to get into more and more fights. Slowly anger turns into hatred, and soon they are at each other’s throat. Near their sixteenth birthday, Maara begins to change. Becoming darker, more brooding, he is heard talking with himself.

 

Then on their sixteenth birthday the worst happens, what should have been the day when Bheema was presented as the prince regent, ended in a blood bath. Maara, stormed the castle with an army, one made from shady dealings from the lesser lords. Within three days he slaughtered the palace guards and the king.

 

With but a word of power he encased Bheema in a blood red crystal. With a mad cackle he threw Yada out of the country, and with a dark smile he sat upon the golden throne. The light of Dwarak was snuffed that day.

 

Now Yada roams about as a vagrant, he has only one goal, and it is not revenge. For Yada is wise, he knows that it is his duty as the last of son of Iza to bring the light back to Dwarak. For this he needs strength, strength he does not have but will soon get.

A phrase commonly used to describe Thalia in her childhood life was suiting, while both complimentary and ominous all the same. In the darkness, she seemed most at home, in the shadows, she found comfort in their embrace. Often the reigning champion in games of hide and see in the woods, there was one time where she didn't return home. Search parties sought out for the little one, but never once was she found.

 

Hours passed, and a search party of hunters were sent out.

 

Unto even the depths of the evening, they did not find her until the moonlight rose over the beautiful woods. It had taken a party of accomplished hunters to find the light footed and stealthy little child. Her talent in being one inclined towards the hunters, interest caught them and she was soon recruited to their program. Swiftly as even a youth, she began to be rather successful. Bio: Ziku was born in the city of Armagh to a Qing courtesan, and due to the nature of his mother's work, his father could've been one of a number of nobles, both minor or major. The only evidence was that, though Ziku was most definitely a Qing child, he held some Arturi features as well. Ziku was raised with love and care from his mother and her associates, though his mixed heritage gave him some difficulties in his earlier years when forced to interact with the children of his mother's patrons, he never once lamented his lot in life. A loving mother, food on the table, a decent education, Ziku's childhood passed smoothly. Unfortunately it wasn't to last. While his mother was of a fairly high status because of it, her occupation didn't exactly lend itself to a long life and she passed away months into Ziku's 15th birthyear. As though she had planned for death at any time, she left a decent sum of money as well as a decent sum of contacts for Ziku upon her death.

 

While his mother was a kind a generous woman, she was also naive. Of the contacts she left for Ziku, few even gave him the time of day, and only one of them offered Ziku a hand: Domhnall, the Merchant. Not a patron of his mother, but in fact the other way 'round. Mr. Domnhall had apparently sold Ziku's mother a number of things, not the least of which was Ziku's own baby clothes and food. Mr. Domnhall was just about to lead a merchant caravan out of Armagh and, whether out of the goodness in his heart, or to put the kid in debt to him, offered Ziku basic necessities in return for labor. Labor he did, Ziku poured his heart into working for the merchant, carrying heavy merchandise swiftly but with care, couriering messages to other merchants, travelling ahead of the caravan with scouting parties to determine the safest and easiest route into the next town. It was on one of these caravans to the Port city of Meath that a catastrophic tragedy happened. The city was awash in the warm glow of flames and the screams of terror and pain echoed outwards. The caravan came to a halt as Mr. and Mrs. Domnhall began speaking with one of the retreating citizens of Meath, soon discovering that the city was raided by a tribe of Orcs. The caravan guards moved into the city to support the evacuation efforts, with Ziku heading out to follow them when Mr. Domnhall stopped Ziku. Mr. Domnhall's child, Deirdre, was missing. Ziku stopped Mr. Domnhall before the request even left his lips. Mr. Domnhall saved Ziku from a life on the streets, so it was the least that he could do to risk his life in order to ensure the safety of Mr. Domnhall's daughter. Ziku set off into Meath, following the most unconventional path he could think of, and moving as adroitly as possible. He wouldn't be able to save anyone if he was caught by a greenskin.

 

A large group of Orcs nearly discovered Ziku as he dove into an abandoned and damaged crate near the docks, luckily the warehouse and empty crates provided enough cover for him to remain in cover until the group passed. Moving along the docks, Ziku overheard the piercing cries and shrieks of children. Two of them, in fact. Rounding the corner of what appeared to be a dockyard administration building, Ziku was greeted with the sight of an Orc dragging a somewhat familiar red-haired girl towards him. Not far from the administration building, a younger girl attempted to throw a shovel to aid the girl under threat from the Orc, but alas her muscles hadn't developed enough for such a feat to be possible, and the shovel only skittered a few inches forward, which was an admirable result for one so young. The shovel girl panicked and looked around for something else to help, and her eyes met with Ziku as he started sprinting towards her. She didn't even say a word. Her eyes said it all. "Help". Ziku almost fell over as he bent down to pick up the shovel and slung it with all of his might at the girl being pulled by the Orc. The shovel landed near her head, burying itself into the dock. The girl acted quickly and with surprising athleticism as she twisted her body to retrieve the shove, and then bring it about to smash into the Orc. Over and over again, she pummeled the Orc's head until the Orc's strength seemed to fade and his body sank into the water. The girl discarded the twisted shovel, and Ziku led the two girls to his hiding spot in the crates inside of the abandoned warehouse to evade the Orcs who were investigating the noises caused by the fight. 

 

The three managed to escape the town and after a few days of travel on the road managed to meet back up with the convoy. The convoy rejoiced upon seeing Dee was alive, though they weren't pleased that she had wandered off to save the girl. Upon returning to the town of Armagh Ziku was relieved of his job as labor for the convoy, and Ziku decided to try his luck elsewhere. Ziku left the town of Armagh, set to find the thrill and adrenaline he had when searching for the merchant's daughter among the ruins of Meath. Ziku dipped into a bit of everything in his travels, be it the lows of banditry, bounty hunting, and thievery to even a stint as a fairly successful gladiator known for his skill at handling multiple enemies. Of course, in his travels, Ziku always returned to Armagh and visited his mother's grave at least twice a year.

Biography: Grom was born into the nomadic Ironhide Clan. Although few in numbers, their unmatched bloodlust and battle prowess made them infamous throughout the continent of Ezreus. Answering to no one, they traveled the lands leaving trails of blood, death, and countless corpses in their wake. Although feared by many, their exploits had never been acknowledged as their victims were merely bandits, mountain dwellers, and fellow savages. However, over the years, none were able to quench their lust for war. In hopes of seeking worthy adversaries to test their skills, they turned to the villages and cities which they had typically avoided. News of the chaos they had brought upon the lands spread like wildfire and it didn’t take long before they were dealt with. An elite troupe of mercenaries and knights were hired to quell the orcish army. Homes were wrecked and lives were loss, but in the end, the Ironhide Clan had fallen. All of their warriors had died in battle while the few women and children that survived were captured. Where they were brought to, it was something most cared little about. As for Grom, despite his age at the time, was shipped to the fighting pits of Azreal where he lived as a gladiator. His lineage, superior physique, and knack for killing made him an excellent warrior who was eventually loved and hated by many. Upon the death of his benefactor, it was stated in his will that Grom, for his years of service and unrivaled performance as a warrior, be set free. No longer shackled and bound to no one, Grom simply wanders the lands as a mercenary.

Biography: Born during an eclipse and thus thought to have been cursed by the gods, Eimile was taken into the forest only days after her birth to be butchered by her father. Unable to kill his own daughter however, the man left her by a river instead to be devoured by the creatures of the forest. That was when she was found by an old hag and her companion, a great, black wolf.

The pair raised the girl from then on as their own and each taught her something different: the hag taught her how to use magic, whilst the wolf taught her how to hunt. All was well for many years until some of the villagers saw the girl playing one day and realized what had happened that night, many moons ago.

A few days later, they gathered themselves together and after searching the woods for a long time, found the hag's lair and set fire to it while she slept inside, killing her in her sleep. Eimile was not there however, having gone off to play by the river where the hag had found her. The old wolf had also been away and was first to return. Rage took a hold of him and he leapt blindly into the group of men and women, ripping and tearing until at last his body was too broken to move.

When Eimile returned hours later to find her home destroyed and her only remaining friend near death, she vowed revenge. To help her, the old wolf gave her the last of his strength, turning her into a canius.

The next morning, after she buried her true family, she returned to the village of her birth and transformed herself into a giant, red wolf. Over the next few hours, Eimile slowly cannibalized her blood-relatives and their neighbors, until there were no more humans left alive in the village.

Taking only what she needed from the village, Eimile burned the rest of it to ashes before setting out to find herself a new home to call her own.

Bio:Zulen`s family traveled through the forests a lot and were a fairly seasoned bunch. When Zulen was born it was a surprise that he was so weak, since his mother was one of the tougher members of the family and his father was a talented hunter. It seemed that genes meant nothing to Zulen, because he was a terrible hunter and it seemed he had no toughness whatsoever. These pitfalls, however, did nothing to stop him from trying to go with his family on their journeys through the forest. They would always tell him that he needed to stay home and rest, but he would just ask "What home?", and they would end up taking him. Despite the fact that was a weak child, or maybe because of that, he would insist that he carry the luggage. When he was asked why he wanted to carry the luggage,even though he was so frail a child, and he would tell them "I do it so that I can build stamina, and stop being so frail", and they would let him carry the luggage, but only the lighter pieces at the start.

 

They continued to journey like this for some years and then they went to a place that Zulen had always wanted to see. They arrived at the city of the Luxons, and Zulen was giddy with excitement, but also a little worried that they would laugh at how weak he was. This worry was short lived as he was accosted by some elves his own age, and they seemed to be in awe of the fact that he was able to travel as much as he did. In fact, not only did they not laugh at how weak he was, but they seemed to think that all of his journeying was that much more impressive because of it.

 

Zulen became very interested in magic, though he had seen it before he had never seen people use magic quite as well as the Luxons, and he was very surprised to see that he wasn't any worse at magic than any other Umbron. Zulen decided then and there that if he couldn't be at hunting like his father, or as tough as his mother, then he was going to be a powerful mage and make them proud.

 

Zulen asked his parents if the cold stay and learn magic from the Luxon, and they told him that if that was what he truly desired then they would be happy to let him stay. Zulen studied for years to be the best, and he never neglected to train his body and build his stamina, though the training never seemed to help his body in any other way. He found that, unfortunately, no matter how hard he studied and practiced, he would never be as good as a Luxon at magic. For a while Zulen was disheartened, but as he was retelling the stories of his travels for the thousandth time, he realized something. Even though the Luxon knew great magic and were very powerful, they were also very isolated. Not just from the outside world, but from other elves as well, and though they were strong spell caster, they were not as strong as the Gorgii of the north. Zulen wonder if the Gorgii had achieved their incredible power because they lived out in the world and were exposed to things that made them stronger.

 

Deciding that he must find out, he went to the catacombs of the city to check, but found that since the Gorgii were not of this world originally, the information on them fell short. As he was about to give up any hope of getting stronger, he saw an entry in a log book that chronicled the journeys of an elf outside the forest, and he was struck with the idea to do just that. Knowing that he would never get permission to go out in the world with a body as weak as his, he came up with a plan to fool everyone and disappear.

 

Spending months in research, he finally found a way to fuse a cloaking spell with a teleportation spell, so that he could disappear without a trace. His plan was to tell the Lexons that he was going an a journey to catch up with his parents, and when he was out of sight of the city, he was going to activate the spell and teleport out of the forest. He thought that it was a good plan, the only downside being that because of the way the cloaking and teleportation spells had come together, he had know idea were he would come out in the world. Zulen thought that maybe it didn't matter, since he was sure it isn't as dangerous as everyone says.

 

One of the things that he looked forward to the most, was the fact that since people rarely saw elves there, they wouldn't know that he was weak. Even though he was an decent mage and he had better stamina than any other elf in the academy, they still treated him like he was weak, and he hated it. They always thought he needed help when he got big books off the shelves(you fall over one time and they never let you live it down), or when the class was trying to cast some difficult spells and the teachers told everyone they could take a break, when we all know it was just because I was there. Zulen appreciated their kindness, but he was sick of being seen as weak. He was ready to make his own way in life, so that he could get stronger, and he intended to do so outside the forest.

 

Zulen just hoped that they would let him back in after they found out he had sneaked out, since he did want to return and show his parents how strong he will surely have become.

Yet, the only people to meet them there were a pack of Manus mercenaries. In a desperate bid to have everyone escape under the cover of smoke, a bomb was set off. The alchemical cargo, being combustible poultices and elixirs, exploded! Wisp's hair was permanently affected by the explosion, explaining the green that contrasts so starkly against her black locks. The magistrate was so infuriated, that he personally ordered Wisp's family and any one she had been on good terms with to get captured and murdered. Wisp had been spending these last four years trying to hide from the sadistic and mighty magistrate, and she has become accustomed to the grief of losing so many people she held dear to her.

Bio: He never knew where he came from.

 

All Thargan ever knew about his heritage was that he had been left on the doorstep of the chapel of Enigrith, the goddess of harvest, prosperity and fertility, as a babe. Left on the doorstep of a chapel in the village Tyger. It happened occasionally. The chapel of Enigrith was the only chapel in the countryside for many miles, quite a few villages took the pilgrimage to worship at its altars during holy seasons. Thargan was not the first baby to be left on its hearth, and he will not be the last.

 

But he was the first ork baby to be left there and he will likely be the last.

 

At first, the villagers of Tyger didn’t realize what he was. Before his teeth, before his tusks, grew in, before his ears became pointed, before his skin took a darker tone, Thargan looked human. He was even named after a local hero, a Arturian warrior who swooped in and cleared out an infestation of aberrant Nergans who, terrifyingly, traveled in packs. An outsider, with unknown origins, but still near and dear to the village – that’s what the priestess Sassiri of the shrine intended.

 

Then Thargan’s tusks grew in.

 

The news swept the village by storm. A town hall meeting took place in the mayor’s office. The discussion raged on for a while, ideas from offloading him to some other settlement to bringing up the issue with the kingdom came up one after another. When one irate villager said they should just get rid of the babe, Sassiri put her foot down. She would look after the child she said.

 

And that’s how Thargan spent the next ten years as an acolyte.

 

…or tried to at least.

 

Enigrith was the goddess of righteous forbearance and temperament. Prosperity was her creed. Violence was only meant to be used as a last resort, for the sake of others. Others not himself. So when other children, larger, older, stronger came to teach the ‘filthy ork’ a lesion, Thargan relented. Day after day as he tended the garden they would come, day after day he would come to Sassiri bruised and battered and day after day she would heal him, coating Thargan in her recovery magics, the elderly woman telling him that she was proud he could resist his urges.

 

Because his urges came, strong and unrelenting, during each beating, screaming at him, urging him to get up and fight. One day he just couldn’t take it. He got up. He shouted. He bellowed. He moved, fist swinging, legs kicking, teeth gnashing. In the haze of red, he went too far. Hours later as the evening descended, villagers swarmed the chapel with torches, plows and pitchforks, but Thargan was gone. Sassiri had led him out, told him to run out of Tyger, and so he ran.

 

He ran into the arms of the Fatala Assaulters.

 

The Assaulters were a mercenary company, one of the many that dotted the grasslands. They took up all sorts of jobs for coin: needed to have an infestation of beasts cleared from a forest? Need help constructed a hamlet? Need to have an ambush staged on a rival merchant? They did it all and more. However, they still had an odd sort of code, one that had three creeds. One, never accept an assassination contract. Two, never double-cross your employers (unless they double cross you). Three, Be always Loyal to your Crew.

 

The Assaulters were broken up into smaller crews, a four man cell that took on contracts. When Thargan first stumbled onto their hidden underground bunker, he was placed into one of those crews. Soon he learned the trade of a merc. He learned how to fight (the Assaulters found out he was ambidextrous so dual-wielding was the way to go). He learned how to shoot. He learned of the vast connection of contracts and how to accept one.

 

And he learned loyalty.

 

It was a concept he hadn’t really encountered before in Tyger, but he took to it. Soon enough, he was known as the “crazy kid” the one who would always jump into frays to give his companions room to maneuver or escape. He had a rough sort of charm, one led him to lead his own crew in time. It even had its own youth in it, showing that he truly come full circle.

 

And then he was ambushed.

 

It happened on his eighteen summer, as he and his crew were sitting around their campfire. Arrows shot out and caught their sentry by surprise, felling her as several enemies came pouring out of the woodlands. A fight broke out, fierce and intense, and the last thing Thargan saw before the world went black was the kid collapse to the ground.

 

He woke up in a bare, cold stone room. No windows and only one steel-clad door. He was chained up against a wall.

 

The door opened and a dwarf came through, tugging on his beard as he gave a yellowed smiled at Thargan. The ork knew who this was. Caldrich Fireblood. The leader of the Firebloods, a rival mercenary company who had some bone to pick with them for stealing a nice-paying contract from them some years ago.

 

It was simple, really. He only had one question, “Where are they?”

 

Thargan heard the question a lot the next couple days.

 

“Remarkable.” Caldrich would say weeks later as he looked at Thargan’s nearly flayed body. Right before Caldrich’s eyes the Thargan’s wound closed, stitching themselves up. When it stopped a pattern of intersecting white lines could be seen faintly against Thargan’s chest.

 

“Have you’ve always been able to regenerate like this?”

 

Red filled Thargan again, thick and heavy and dense. He snarled at the dwarf, fangs jutting out and wrists straining against the shackles. But no bellows. No, he stopped screaming long ago, not seeing the point.

 

Truth be told … he hadn’t been able to regenerate like this before. And if he couldn’t then the torture wouldn’t have been this bad, most likely. This Fireblood had a sadistic streak a mile wide, and he seemed almost … fascinated … with the way Thargan regenerated from his wounds. As for Thargan himself, he didn’t know how he did it. He could’ve used it earlier in some of his contracts, but it just had to appear now didn’t it?

 

“This isn’t working. Give up.”

 

“No. I think I’ll think I’ll keep this up for a good long time. After all, the Assaulters are already dead.”

 

“What?”

 

“Yep!” Caldrich beamed a yellow grin. “That lad of yours caved days ago. That little hideout caved underground in the Lasori Hills? Gone.”

 

He saw red. A red haze surged under the surface, boiling up from within and coating everything he was. A red tainted with a hint of blue, an anger that shimmered.

 

Thargan smiled.

 

Hours later the Firebloods would find the door thrown wide open and see the battered body of their leader twisted on the floor.

Bio: Geraint, formerly Geraint Millwright, was born in a small, isolated fishing village to the Millwright family. The village was simple but welcoming, built on an incline that led down to a sizeable cove. This cove is essential to the establishment and survivable of the village. Many varieties of fish freely flow in and out of the cove, and the sea outside was rich in fish, more so than what most fishing villages could hope to boast on even the year of their best catch. The inlet is large enough for two or three small fishing vessels to pass through at the same time, but would give a larger ship trouble. On the right of the inlet, should one look at it from within the cove, sat a massive, thick iron chain that was anchored into the stone. At a moment’s notice, the chain could be swept across the inlet and over to the left side, effectively sealing off the cove from entrance or exit, while allowing the fish to continue their cycle of flowing in and out. This is a peculiar feature of geography, a relatively large cove that is easily sealed off, has been an indispensible asset in protecting the village from pirates. Should one look away from the sea and to land that would find a ring of stone, mountains that embrace the village like a mother shielding her child from a harsh wind. Even the two sides of the cover, like a mother’s arms, are lined with stone. In between those mountains, facing the land, was a sort valley that was the village’s connection to the mainland. There, all merchants and other wayfarers would pass through a wall and gate that had kept the village save from bandits and raiders for many generations. It was a lone structure of solitude within the valley, and from a very much different world than the village it guarded. There, a small company of soldiers manned the gate, no more than 20, who would often venture to village for drink and meal when they were off shift. Besides traders and the occasional wanderer, these soldiers were the only outside contact most the villagers ever had.

 

Geraint’s family, the Millwrights, have a small legacy within the village, though in a community that was no more than a one hundred and twenty, a small legacy was a legacy worth noting. Geraint’s Great Grandfather, Bryce, was quite literally a millwright. Nameless and homeless, he drift into the village from a city somewhere where there was no work. Before Bryce, the village’s fishing business was just to put food on the table; there was no economy in sight. Bryce changed all of that. The villager were knowledgeable ship builders, but unknowledgeable in construction otherwise. There was no shipyard, no docks, no small wooden cranes to assist in offloading large, heavy catches. In truth, the boats weren’t built large enough for than a small net or two and were simply beached when not afloat. It was Bryce who built the first dock by enlisting the aid of a few villagers Bryce who made the first, albeit very small, shipyard that grew into a much larger workshop. Finally, it was Bryce who built the first little wooden crane for unloading large, heavy catches. Bryce inadvertently spawned the fishing trade and economy within the village. Bryce, who did not seem to have a last name to speak of, became known by his previous job, Millwright. Bryce Millwright had two boats capable of hauling larger loads of fish from outside the cove on which he work a crew of village on each, and was soon appointed harbor master. In such a small village, even one with a fishing economy so strong, there was little to regulate and enforce, so Bryce’s job consisted mainly of maintaining the docks and equipment, as well as overseeing work in the shipyard; Bryce effectively owned the docks and shipyards. He built them, maintained them, and fetched a small tax on any catch that came in through the docks as well as made money from working in the shipyard. Bryce’s last large contribution to the village was to have Long Iron, the massive iron chain that guarded the inlet to cover, forged and place at the inlet.

 

Generations later, Geraint’s family is still active in maintaining the docks, overseeing work at the shipyard, and still uses those two same fishing vessels. Geraint and his two brothers, one older and one younger, were supposed to be the next in line to care on the family affairs. The boys were taught everything about their duties from a young age. Geraint hated it. Geraint hated fishing, Geraint hated working in the shipyard, Geraint hated maintaining the docks; Geraint hated  being trapped in the isolated village, knowing only the sea and wooden installations made along the beach of the cove. While most villages saw the ring of stone, mountain and cove, as a motherly embrace promising protection and prosperity, Geraint saw it as being smothered by mountains on one side and salted water on the other. The only outside contact Geraint had was mostly with the relaxing soldier from the valley gate. Geraint came to idolize the soldier lifestyle, glorifying it with notions of adventure and glory; even though the local company was a bunch of fat, lazy, do-nothings. Geraint took interest in one man who carried around a sizable, two-handed blade. Geraint made no secret of it to his family, much to their dismay. They wanted a boy who could fish or build ships, or construct and main docks, or some other related thing. Not soldiering. They were the Millwrights, not the Fightwrights. It wasn’t their thing. To throw salt in the wound, Geraint’s older brother had some men at the shipyard  take wood for making an oar, and crave it so that the oar blade ran all the way down, leaving just enough room for two hands. He jokingly gifted Geraint his new “oar”, which Geraint pretended to throwaway only to recover later. Unbeknownst to anyone, Geraint took the “oar” to a remote place and stashed it there. In his free time, Geraint would venture out to his stash and play with the “oar”. Over time, playing turned into experimentation, and experimentation became practice. Geraint got used to handling to handling the cumbersome “oar”. Smashing it against broken crates, waterlogged barrels, and rotten melons; Geraint made up for his lack of formal training with determination and admiration.

 

One day, the “oar” broke. On that day, Geraint left. He had been planning it for some time, and took the breaking of the “oar” as his pardoning of duty to his family. His mother cried, his father scolded, hi brothers sneered. Geraint knew they would take it badly. Geraint last act as a member of the village was to drop his last name “Millwright”. It was village tradition that those who left the village left their place in the village as well. Should Geraint return he would not be recognized as a Millwright, Just another wayfarer. Geraint was okay with that, he never felt like a millwright to begin with and the village sucked.

Bio: Hadiya was born in a small mountainside village on the outskirts of the Qing homeland. Hadiya’s parents were poor farmers, as were most of the village’s habitants, who died to disease while she was still an infant. Hadiya was given to an orphanage that existed higher up the mountain, ran by monks. The monks themselves were situated in a temple carved into the top of mountain.

 

Legend has it that the temple was not carved by hand, but by voice over the course of two weeks without rest or meal. It is said that fourteen monks were taught “Mantra” by a powerful deity who they once served. Words of Power, the commandment of nature and life through willpower made manifest by speech. These fourteen left the deity’s refuge and founded the temple on its request. The oldest of the fourteen stay atop the mountain while the remaining thirteen spread out across the land with two duties to perform, appease other deities through worship and offering to the benefit of the people, and to spread their teachings to all who would listen, guiding them back to the mountain top temple, to Bhakti. Tutelage in Bhakti was both spiritual and martial. One’s body, mind, and soul needed to be strong to fulfill their duties to the gods and people. This was a requirement before any student could obtain Mantra and become a monk of Bhakti. This was a century before The Reckoning, an era long past.

 

Now, Bhakti is a shadow of its former self, though the faith is still strong. With the original teachings of Bhakti degraded over the centuries since The Reckoning, there are fewer monks who can use Mantra, and none who can use it with the same potency of centuries past. Now, they focus on goodwill towards humanity, with only a few monks who have permission to leave the temple to appease the deities below. Hadiya was raised in such a temple, and named by the monk who received her from the surviving villagers, Kashyap. When at the age of twelve, Hadiya made the decision to become a monk of Bhakti herself. She was inducted as a student and trained for 7 long years before uttering her first verse of Mantra, causing another pupil to lose his sight for several minutes and losing her own ability to speak for a whole day. What caused the incident is unknown, but Hadiya was now recognized as a candidate for advanced training in Mantra, and was place in Kushyap’s tutelage for a year.

 

A year and a half came and went quickly to Hadiya, who focused on her studied and training to the brink of exhaustion. Kashyap was sent out six months prior, on news that scrolls containing valuable information on Mantra were kept in a far off shrine. The head monk decided that with several young monks who were capable of properly using mantra, the most in decades, it was time to dispatch a new flock into the world, each meant to follow and meet up with one of their seniors who were already spreading their teachings. Hadiya was set on Kashyap’s trail, in hopes of assisting him and gaining valuable experience along the way.

We are the weakest and least celebrated of Mastya's Three Great Powers, yet that did not matter; for we truly lived as we wished to be, instead of being slaves to our cravings for more and more power. We keep to ourselves, feeling content as the ones who silently watch from afar: as the writers of stories, as the guardians of knowledge, and as the witness of Fate's curious doings.

 

Yet, our days of living in this peace we have created for ourselves are numbered. With Dwarak now losing her wise king, and his heir consumed by bloodlust and greed, the entire ocean was churned into chaos. More and more blood are spilled, turning even the most pristine waters foul, and it would not be long before the crimson reaches even our country and our way of living.

 

And that was not the last of the threats we are forced to face. The tainted waves brought along with them a new disease, Scarlet Lago as we named it, fell upon our young and newborns like fire upon dry woods. It robbed them of their vitality, of their exuberance, of their cheerfulness. With barely enough strength to move around, their eyes, once gleaming with lights of unparalleled beauty, now showed nothing but darkness and despair.

 

I, Cairys Auferne, daughter of Sarasvati Auferne, Fair Queen of Taxilla, too could not evade the curse of Scarlet Lago. I spent most of my childhood laying on my bed, my burning fever not even allowing me to take a step outside of my chamber. The beautiful light of Taxilla; the vast seas; the exotic continents; all the wonders of the world I have heard from my Mother, yet seeing them is a privilege I was not entitled to have.

 

With each passing day, my body grew weaker and weaker. The fevers eventually robbed me of my sight, and along with it my dearest wish of seeing the world one day. With my dreams slipping through my grasp, I slowly began to lose my will to live. Many times, I resigned myself to death. And every time, my mother would pull me back together. She would encourage me, and she would share me the tales she had accumulated over time to keep my curiosity burning. Truly, she was my one beacon of light in this dark world of mine.

 

"Do you wish to see it? The world I've told you about?" she asked me one day. "Even if it means losing something precious to you, do you wish to see?"

 

To her question, I firmly nodded my head. "I wish to see, Mother. Even if it means losing everything, above all else, I wish to see the world you speak of with my own eyes."

 

The next day, I received the Sea Dragon's eyes, one our country's three sacred treasures, from my mother. Despite the protests of the elders, she decided to break the long-held tradition and released the seals placed on our ancestor's legacy. Thanks to that, I once again regained the sight I had lost. I would never forget the colors I saw that day. And now, now it is my turn to pay the price for my wish. For taking the treasure for my own gain, I am exiled from my dearest Taxilla. I am to never return, and my sin will only be pardoned when I return with the cure for Scarlet Lago.

 

Cairys Auferne is my name. Taxilla is my country dearest. Scarlet Lago is the curse that plagued my people. And to the ends of the world I shall travel to find its cure. And one day, one day I shall return to my beloved Taxilla, to the place my mother's warm smile and embrace is waiting.

Bio: Hailing from a temple in Qing territory, Huo is a unique mage from a school that teaches the essence of magic alongside cultivating the body with martial arts and a pure way of life. Huo was talented in using fire, as he would describe it, he "understood" how fire moved. At the age of 17 he was kicked from the temple because he would not drop the idea of ancient and dark magicks, something he was sincerely interested in. The school taught to use magic as a way of life, to take in dark magic is to take a darker character. As a result, his interests clashed with the philosophies of the temple, and he was expelled.

He took up a drinking habit, that he soon played with and made a strange drunken fist style with it, as well as 'spitting fire'. He was a legend in bars all across Qing as the "Drunken Dragon", because he fought while intoxicated, and breathed fire like a dragon. As some would say, it was entertaining, but also quite destructive. Of course, he didn't spend all his time going from bar to bar. He made money working with various scholars and doctors in the land, occasionally 'borrowing' their material to further his own study into dark and ancient magic. Finding clues to old ruins that may give insight into the old ways, or artefacts that were considered dangerous or lost.

From time to time, he would encounter these artefacts, and after studying them, destroy them, to ensure only he has the knowledge. He's only run across a few minor ones, and sometimes followed the trail of possibly more powerful ones, but those always went mysteriously cold. Someone out there was likely gathering these artefacts for their own ends. He can only imagine that once he found them, it'd be like going to a candy shop. Of course, his studies allow him to also make artefacts of his own, albeit weaker, because he doesn't have the resources the ancient ones did.

His travels can bring him many places for different reasons. He could be working under another doctor or scholar for money, he could be on an errand for them, or he's on the trail to another artefact, or maybe he just really wants another drink. Who knows.

• Intoxicated Scholar (Passive): He is an intelligent man, but he becomes an even more intelligent man when he drinks. This is why his temple's library doesn't like him. Increase intelligence udner influence of alcohol.
• Ancient Magic Knowledge: Huo is incredibly interested in ancient magicks, so naturally he has a lot of knowledge on them, allowing him to identify magical objects both new and old, as well as anything related to the sort.

Bio: Legend goes that many centuries past, there lived an elven swordmistress who was very nearly beyond compare. Her style was unorthodox in that she used a pair of sabers rather than a single blade or a sword and dagger, but such a whirlwind of steel and skill she made with them that very few could ever hope to survive crossing her. For many, legend is precisely what she is; all reports of her declined and then vanished some 200 years since. Many Elves, particularly those that instruct in the sword, dismiss her as passing fancy, particularly when a prospective student asks about a two-bladed style.

But the truth is she was no myth or legend. She was very much a living figure, and her style very much an actual art form. The reason she faded as she did was because she fell in love. And, in time, that love led to marriage and to a baby girl named Caede. Though motherhood made continuing her swordsmanship impractical at best, so she retired to the homestead. That did not stop Caede from pestering her mother about her skill with a blade, even as she learned of the world at her mother's feet. Eventually, after much pleading, her mother relented and began to instruct her in her trademark sword style. But after finishing her instruction, Caede's mother departed, left with a cloaked, fair-skinned figure to parts unknown with a kiss on her daughter's cheek. Years later, report came back that Caede's mother had gone missing. Many presumed her dead, but Caede, somewhere in her heart, knew her mother yet lived. And so, she set out from her home to search the world. She wanders the land, even now, looking for any sign of her, serving as a lone mercenary called the Wraith to make her ends meet...
