Add date of when the manga was first published. No reason really not to, and it informs the reader of the manga.

Hmm...

When it comes to Batoto, it's been pointed out that we are a site specifically for reading manga, not for providing information about it. For that, you have sites like MangaUpdates or even MyAnimeList to some extent.

 

So when deciding new information fields to add to a comic page, it really comes down to "will it help 75+% of our users decide on whether or not to read this manga", because otherwise there's no point.

I don't personally believe that this will do that, since I've yet to see somebody who only or never reads manga published after a certain date *shrug*
