Just have one thing to say, I'm surprised and somewhat disappointed.

As someone who didn't read Papakiki and only watched the animu, can someone please explain why Yuuta ended up with Sora and not Raika?

Cuz she a tsundere.  Basically the ending came out of left field since there was more development between Raika and Yuta then Yuta and Sora.  For the majority of the series until the very end Yuta treated her as a daughter and nothing more.  The author's justification for this is that him marrying Sora made them into a real family but, I'd argue that they were already a real family since Yuta and Hina are blood related.  I'd be much more ok with the ending if the Yuta's and Sora's romantic relationship was developed more through the novels but, that just didn't happen.  For the majority of the series he went after Raika and then, once Raika confesses to him he just ups and changes his mind.

Because Raika is 100% plump and not loli at all? It was very well visible that Sora would win the race because she's always 1 step ahead in being close to her beloved Ojisan. Living and growing up together under 1 roof will of course shift his attention away from Raika to Sora because he's +- her new "father", and he has no time to spend on Raika anyway, given his going out for his family, work and studies.

Since the "family man" won't betray his family, it's obvious that he can't afford to get on their sour side, and I bet Sora got more than cocky enough to keep all his attention focused on her only, especially when she's in her prime teens later on (16+).

What would've been a very unforeseen twist would only be a marriage with Miu, because noone would've guessed that far, but Sora was dead obvious from the beginning....
