Name: Lucian Felldrake
Gender: Male
Age of Death: 27
Background: The fifth son of Lord Felldrake, Lucian never had much chance of becoming his fathers heir ,so he focused his energy into other things. Pouring his time and effort into school, Lucian discovered he had a knack for physics and that he could make great things for the world, but that did not interest him. What interested him was lightning. The raw power of it was a constant curiosity that captured his attention and made him care about his surroundings even less than he used to, so much so that during one of his experiments when a power coupling gave out and a release of electricity killed five students, he didn't even care, he just wanted to know why his experiment hadn't worked.

 

After being kicked out of the school for his reckless actions he went into seclusion and continued his work. He was working on his biggest project yet, it was a test of a machine that could generate as much electricity as a hundred bolts of lightning! Unfortunately he had neglected to check the weather before he began his experiment, and as luck would have it there was a large storm raging outside of his workshop. Everything seemed to be working fine, until the dynamos started to become over-taxed and the couplings and capacitors started to give out. In an effort to stop the build up of electrical energy Lucian decided to activate his Tesla Coil to let off the excess power safely into the atmosphere. He pressed the button to open the ceiling and then mistaking the boom of thunder outside for the sound of one of the capacitors exploding he pulled the emergency purge switch and everything went deathly quiet.

 

Standing there he had only a moment to wonder if the worst was behind him when he felt a strange tingling on his scalp, and then he heard a sound he had heard many times before but never this loud. It was the sound of lightning finding its way to the ground, he was sad that he wouldn't be able to at least see a bolt this big. His sadness was short lived as everything became a stark white and a truly deafening boom filled his senses, then there was nothing.

 

As he awoke to the strange feeling of shaking, he opened his eyes and saw that he was on a train.... He had never been more confused in his life.

Talents:
A gifted physicist, and surprisingly good at cooking.

Weakness: Water forces him to discharge energy. The amount of energy lost is proportional to the amount of water contact.

Attributes: You must have rank in each attribute. You use the souls you have stockpiled to buy ranks. Rank E is average for a human, rank C is top a human can achieve. At rank S you are Superman.

Do you have to buy the attribute ranks in order? For instance, do you need to buy Rank D to unlock Rank C, or do you just have to have enough unspent souls to buy Rank C?Can you skip having to get Rank D, thus saving yourself 100 unspent souls?

I think the ranks are just there to make it easier to compare stats. That is, the ranks aren't bought, they are just your rating in each stat.

No, they are bought. And no, they aren't progressive. Each price includes previous ranks.
