Can anyone recommend a manga like this one in terms of character development and battle scenes? Peferably a manga where the/an MC is like Mikumo, i.e., no special/overpowered abilities but mainly relies on wits and tactics. I really enjoy stories where there are a lot of characters, who have significant amount of screen time, even though I don't remember most of their names. lol

 

Mangas I have/am reading which I find similar to this one:

• Hunter x Hunter
• Mx0
• The Gamer (Manhwa/Web Comic; I like the strategic battles)

Feng Shen Ji. Main character is pretty powerful but doesn't blow everyone away. He actually has people faster or stronger or with better power then him, but uses his wits to overcome them anyway.

 

I found a comic with a female character in prison who uses her wits to defeat enemies, but not in combat. If your interested I will search for its name among my list. It only has like 4 chapters to it so far.

 

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha - "Be Mine, Hero!" "I Refuse!", multiple versions of this comic. Lots of talk of strategy and a large cast of characters

 

"Drifters" might be something you want to check out. Freaks' Squeele perhaps (one of my favs but not sure how well it matches your criteria)

Do you need it to be lots of combat or training?
