Wow. I don't think shitty MC is all that shitty. He's one MC that really comes off as a pure victim of circumstance. He's in love with his teacher, and he sleeps with someone else to get over it. All the drama that follows seem's mostly outside of him.

 

My impression is that He doesn't have a complicated life, everyone around him has a complicated life, so his life is complicated by association.

She is "pure" because she doesn't really want to fuck around, she just wants warmth from people.

Our MC is clever enough to figure that out, so he gave her warmth without having sex with her, and made her fell for him instantly.
